The Exchange Rate Thread (19)
RS has many currencies in use in the game. By default you use the currency (and timezone) of the country your team is playing in.
This can often make communication difficult when discussing finances with other managers, especially if they are new to the game.
So the purpose of this thread is to have a reference table giving the exchange rates for all the different currencies. But I need one person from each country to provide the information.
Please make 1 post each naming your country and the currency, then go here and copy/paste the whole line giving the costs for Office 10.
https://rockingsoccer.com/en/soccer/help/facilities/facility-office
Note - The exchange rates that have now been posted halfway down the first page may be correct but are uncorroborated so please continue to provide the data for Office 10.
Thanks for your help.
Exchange Rates
For simplicity I will give the exchange rate between each local currency and the common game currency, which is the RS Dollar (RSD).
Australia - Dollar (AUD)
- Same as RSD
Brazil - Real (BRL)
- 1.00 R$ = $0.27 (RSD) (Ratio 100:27) [3.7037 R$ = $1.00]
Europe (various) - Euro (EUR)
- €1.00 = $1.09 (RSD) (Ratio 100:109) [€0.91743 = $1.00]
India - Rupee (INR)
- ₹1.00 = $0.015 (RSD) (Ratio 200:3) [₹66.667 = $1.00]
Sweden - Krona (SEK)
- 1.00kr = $0.12 (RSD) (Ratio 100:12) [8.3333kr = $1.00]
Turkey - Lira (TRY)
- ₺1.00 = $0.34 (RSD) (Ratio 100:34) [₺2.9412 = $1.00]
UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) - Pound (GBP)
- £1.00 = $1.50 (RSD) (Ratio 100:150) [£0.66667 = $1.00]
Uruguay - Peso (UYU)
- $U1.00 = $0.034 (RSD) (Ratio 1000:34) [$U29.412 = $1.00]
* Please let me know if you spot any errors or if anyone has a clearer way of presenting the table.
I'll do the first one for England. The currency is the Pound (GBP).

@Maxpoint The Peruvian nuevo sol and Poland zloty are not clear.
That's a very useful contribution from Max, but I think it's still worth collecting the data because some countries may be missing and also we need to confirm that it's entirely accurate for every country.
One manager from Poland recently sent me a message with:
- "1 dol= 3.8zl"
So there is a disagreement there already.
Although I don't have the exact figures and they will have small differences depending on the source used due to small roundings, I still think that my figures are closer and may vary between 3.99999xxxxxxxxx or 4.00000xxxxxxx for the Poland zloty as an example.
I don't have any shame anyway in stating a disclaimer that this numbers could not correspond exactly with the exchange rate anyway ;)
The manager who gave me that information about the Zloty may well have been wrong. Maybe it's 3.8 or maybe it's 4.0 but I have no way of knowing.
The point here is that if we're to have a table that's both reliable and accurate then we can't simply rely on people just giving us their own numbers. Some people will provide accurate information and others won't and therefore we can't be sure. The same with yours. It may be 100% accurate but how do we know that?
The best way to make sure it's accurate is to get everyone to copy/paste some known numbers from a web page.
So this is why I've asked everybody to copy the whole line for Office 10. That should make it reliable.
Fair enough and I don't oppose to that, I shared my numbers to whoever wants to use them as a guide or could just wait that any country or currency is represented to be sure.
Anyway your numbers will then be reliable between them cause you would use the same source to get all of them but I'm not sure you could get the exact exchange rate due to the small roundings like I said before. My numbers altough not exact, could be reliable between them aswell because I use the same source to all of them but I trust your numbers too, specially if you use the cost of the YA6 because its the bigger number used in RS I think, and because of that could bring more decimals to the calculation probably to get a more accurate exchange rate but not neccesarly.
example:
RSD 1 = 0,9174311927018391 Euro
Having said that, I didn't use that figure for my table and surely there will be a small difference between yours and my numbers but both pretty reliable and pretty close to the exact number so while I encourage you to make that new table I'm confident enough of the use of mine already.
My take on the accuracy of the decimals is that Vincent has coded them all as simple fractions or ratios, so you don't really need to use the largest numbers for accuracy.
I can't prove this for sure but I haven't yet found one where this isn't true. In other words they are all naturally occurring decimals and he hasn't just sat at a keyboard and randomly selected a list of decimal numbers. This is evidence of human design which is what we should expect.
So it's just a case of finding the right ratio. In the case of Euros it's simply:
100 Euros = 109 RSD, which is exact and makes it much easier to use than long decimal values. It only becomes a decimal if you wish to express it like that:
1 RSD = 100/109 Euros = 0.91743119266055045871559633027523 Euros
Any difference with that number can be explained by rounding errors.
I'm fairly confident that I can find a similar ratio for most of and probably all the other currencies once we have the data.
Here's Japanese Yen for example:
¥100 = 0.81 RSD
1 RSD = ¥ 100/0.81 = ¥ 123.456790123456790...
