Physical training (16)
First of all, I'm sorry if this question was already answered in another topic. I play RS for a good time, but I always had some doubts: when to train a physical attribute on a player? There is a limit age that is worth training physical attributes? Normally, I only focus on improving my most talented players, etc. Also, what physical attributes are most important in each position?
Fixed attribute training will improve any player at any age. So the age is more about deciding whether it's worth the training time on an older player that you may not be keeping for very long. It's far better to invest the training time in youngsters. Ask yourself how long you intend to keep the player.
10% Speed is added to Blocking and Scoring.
10% Power is added to Duelling and Passing.
So for that reason I would prioritise Speed for Keepers and Strikers, and Power for Defenders and Midfield.
The thing that I pay most attention to is how old the player is. As he gets older the fixed attribute training becomes increasingly less effective (that’s part of the purpose of the number in brackets after a player’s age). The cost and time taken up is still the same, but is it sensible to spend a few days training speed when someone will only get a bonus of, for example, 0.74 balls rather 1.0 balls of speed? It sounds like your plan of only training your best players is a sensible one. There is never enough time to train everyone with fixed atttibites and special skills, so carry on being selective. As Numpty says, be clear about how long you intend to keep the player.
I disagree with Numpty slightly on how he suggests using the training. For me, speed and power is important for strikers. High speed in defence and midfield is very useful too. However, he is right in that power in these positions is the most important.
No disagreement with you Stephen.
As you say they are all useful, I was simply answering which ones are most important for each position. Which to me would seem to be the ones that add 10% to the primary attribute.
Hi there guys I dont know if this is the rigt place to ask this but here goes. I want to train all of my players but I am getting rather confused on what player needs what training, I have read up on the basics and it says
GOALKEEPERS = BLOCKING
DEFENDERS = DUELLING
MIDFIELDERS = PASSING
FORWARDS = SCORING
But I just want to make sure that this is right or should I do all the trainable skills for all the players
Training all their skills is a waste of xp as there's only so much xp you can spend. It's best to prioritise training their primary attributes.
If you want to see what others do then have a look at how the top clubs train their players.
How do I look at other clubs to see there training I clicked on your team Numpty but I couldnt find your training complex
so should I just train goalkeepers with blocking
Select Players from the Club Menu on the RHS. This will list their squad and then choose the individual players to look at.
so I have looked at one of your gk and you have it blocking
so i was right in the first place
GK = BLOCKING
DEF = DUELLING
MID = PASSING
FOR = SCORING
In general, all players need most of their xp spent on the primary attributes for their position. In this game players perform at their best when they specialise. They all need some Tactics - defensive positions need more - and some level of secondary skills can also be useful.
But there isn't universal agreement on how best to train every position.
So you need to make your own choices and use various souirces of information:
- The Help files
- These questions have already been asked before, so use the forum search function and read any useful discussions you can find.
- Look at the most successful clubs and see what you can learn from them.
Ok Numpty, thank you very very much for the help and information you have provided.I will look at other clubs as suggested.
I now know where to come to if I need extra information
@Lee Cheeseman
yes, you are correct, they are the correct primary attributes that you should train.
You also want to train every player in a minimum of 1.5 balls of tactics.
If you stick with the game for a while, you may wish to look at how some of the top teams train their players and try your own method based on what you see. This is not overly important for a new starter though and you should probably just stick with primary attributes and 1.5 balls of tactics for a few seasons.
There are also special attributes to train once you get a higher level training complex.
For the record:
I personally feel that it is best to train defenders in more tactics.
I also like to train all my defenders in blocking.
Other than that, I like to have a defensive midfield, who i train to a high level in blocking and give him plenty of tactics.
@davo
I tell you what if I send you a message then I can tell you what new team im with. Also would you be prepared to help me ith what buildings to do and training as I would find that more useful
If you dont thats fine I wont be disappointed
