Season 72- (26)
Silent period continues, somewhy just happened to qualify to EL for this season, so trying to pick as much points there as possible. So league might be little bit on background. Playoffs draw will determine our euro season's length.
Expected to lose clearly against AC Imanta, but somehow won home match. Unexpected and valuable points to ranking :) and Crazy Gang has appeared again.
As my keeper just announced his retirement at the end of season it might be my last competitive season. Second keeper is much weaker and surely not ready for this league, but this will be trouble for next season(s). Currently main goal is avoiding relegation on this tight season, next season there may be weaker newcomer.
Everything is under control, we are preparing for season without Kingi and avoiding euro spot as team would be very far from required level.
So, the fightful (against relegation) season starts. I'm not yet ready to spend so much money on keeper, so I'll play with homegrown poor one and offensive part must carry the team. Big scores are in the air.
Two important wins are making situation safer.
It's not easy to get decent keeper without massive overpay- they prefer too clubs with more players at similar age...
... and another season without adequate keeper....
It's time to start fighting for euro spot again as now we have normal keeper for some seasons. So far we have just massively overachieved.
As keeper quickly announced his retirement on next season, it was maybe better that we didn't go to Europe. We are not yet good enough.
Today is last day with normal keeper for some time. Maybe I can sell couple of more players and bring in some refreshment. But not the keeper yet- there is no normal keepers for normal price. Maybe one day I'll get nice money for Merz too? 🤣
Surely I'm taking some risks of relegation on next seasons, but once already I survived it with Simmering, so not worrying too much.
