Season 28 thread (20)
So what's everybody's goals/plans for this season? I've added several depth pieces to make sure that we do not repeat our horrible form in the CL.
My plan is to score goals and lots of them which is exactly what I did last season. I don't anticipate adding any other defenders, any time soon. I hope to win the Super Cup tomorrow but I also hope to win the National Cup this season. I look forward to defending and hopefully retaining the League title and the u21 Cup, this season.
Good luck to everyone and welcome back Ron!

Looking to hang around this season...My new 50,000 stadium is done so that should help revenue which means more money for better players..Next up is the Youth Center to 9...We shall see...I expect to battle for 9th to 11th...Aim high I say lol
I've finished 10th the past 5 seasons, so 9th would be nice.
Transition season for me, renew the team with some young people.
I will do stadium 10 this season.
I Hope to be 3-7 position.
I do not know what will happen in the champions.
I win the Super Cup, it's my fourth.

Congrats on the Super Cup @Lujandecuyo
Two 3-3 results in a row. The goals scored are expected, the goals against are not. Hopefully my defense can get things figured out or I'll be having to win my games 4-3. Not ideal!

Two horrible days, out cup and champions
I will try to fight the league

@Lujan Tough one. That happened to me 2 seasons back where I was going along great and then suddenly I was out of the Cup/u21Cup/CL&went winless in 4 league matches.
At least you can focus on the league now. That was one bright spot for me, last season when I excited the CL&Cup early. I'd wish you luck but I'm looking to repeat as the Champion ;)
Either way, it looks like the USA will be moving ahead of us in the Coefficients unless one of us can win the NAL and I don't like my chances against FC Jocotenango.

I'm calling out Jinlin...
No excuse for you fielding weaker players versus Tristeza and then turning around the next day and playing all your best against me. I was watching your roster, and you had no injuries and you had at least 8 hours between matches...
It seemed coincidence at best that you left out your best FullBack/Defender (Huwiter),your best 2 midfielders (Crum/Lefevre)and your top Forward(Bushmin) Choi was also benched but I'll give the benefit of the doubt on him/Feather. It's inexcusable and incredibly poor sportsmanship. You have lost all respect from me.
I'd have understood if you had done this consistently but that is not the case. As someone who was won league titles, I figured you would respect the idea of "proper competition".
I'm debating whether to report this or not but rest assured that I will not be seeking any point penalties that will affect the league.

Another season is in the books:
- Congratulations to Montreal
- Good luck to Popo in the playoffs
- Hopefully Van City will make an immediate return
And....a special mention to my boys for finishing 10th for the 6th successive season - that's consistency for you!

Congrats to Montreal for a great season. I'm surprised Brainbot was able to get a result vs. Lujan. I still am not pleased about Jinlins roster selection against Lujan but it ended up not mattering for the title. FYI I have spoken to Mavi and other admins about this.
If anyone cares, please look at Taicang Jinlins lineup in this match...

It's very curious that he benched some very important players for this match and then played his best lineup for everyone else. I could understand if he did this against a bottom of the table team but not the one who was leading the league. It is irresponsible and very unsporting. If you care about FairPlay, this should matter to you.
Also a big congrats to Alex For making the NAL finals! Good luck!

Cheers guys. Despite my shite season in the league, I managed to win the Cup (playing only Div 1 teams all rounds), the NAL and more importantly, picked up the u21 league championship for the 8th time.
@alex When are you going to finally win a u21 cup?
Congrats on your 2nd NAL title. Been a good while since we had won a continental competition.

Congrats Montreal, i should be named runner-up forever, lol.
And Congrats Alex for the Cup NAL and Sub21, great season for you.
