Ulysses - Your forward Ulutürk really had his way with us in our the first game.  It was a real "welcome to league 1" moment for my new goalie who replaced the aging Chagas this season.

Don't worry about it too much.  Ulutürk is a monster.  Between league, cup, and international games last season, he scored 104 goals.  Over the course of 50 seasons, I've had a player player score 74 goals in season 25, 60 goals in season 9, and those are the only times I've had a player score at least 60 goals (possibly excluding some players whose records have been lost at this point).  He's already my 10th best forward of all time after 57 games (9th place is actually a defender from when the algorithm allowed defenders to score).  He could be 3rd or 4th after a second season.

I'm doing all right, my team is playing quite mediocre. Looks like we're destined for a middle-ish spot at the end of the season.

I somehow managed to steal a 2-1 away win against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (who had previously only given up 2 goals this season) without scoring a single goal.  That's probably my luckiest win ever.  I'm sure the Pittsburgh Riverhounds will eventually catch up again since they rarely slip up.

Happy to host the champions league final.  Unfortunately my Costa Rican team is about to be eliminated from contention...not that we ever had a chance.

My second team will be hosting a few big matches with Costa Rica hosting the next world cup.

Polar Bear Council is sure making a strong case.

I think I can be competitive and that I've had good luck so far (I still haven't played FC Arsenal or Sidney Town FC though), but I'd say the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Sidney Town FC are still the favorites unless I win every game against every other team.  Sidney Town FC looks best defensively, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds looks best offensively.  FC Arsenal is also in the mix.  The other 3 teams with positive goal differential in the top 7 are still competitive too.

Beyond having an interesting season here, the North American League has some interesting group matchups currently.  

1. the second teams from Sidney Town and Rocky Mountain Huskies are in one group.

2. The Colonials are in the same group as the Invincibles 2nd team.

3. Coxhinas (My second team) is in the same group as Baltimore.

Our US league is performing well in the Champions League and NA League this season as 6 of our 8 teams are still alive with just a combined 24 teams remaining in both tournaments.

Looks like my senior team gets to play the Champions League final, hosted by my Costa Rican team.  Too bad I won't get any home field advantage for this scanerio.  I could really use home field advantage against Riverhounds in this all-american final.
