A valiant effort, but Pittburgh Riverhounds managed to get an 80th minute goal off a corner kick to seal the deal 1-nil.

Fieras FC keeper I. Cunilleras blocked 10 shots from a Riverhounds offense that was getting a ton of opportunities. On another positive note, Fieras FC completed 100% of their 41 passes and managed to get 8 shots on goal as well but the stalwart Riverhounds back line managed to be too difficult to best.

Fieras FC coach, John Deatrick stated "We've seen the beast now, and we will be a little bit more prepared when they come to visit us at home later this season".

In the 5th game of the season for FC Appleton 13, they traveled to play Talent Kids FC. In the early going, both teams created chances but were unable to convert; finally, Brad Gaskill, the FC Appleton playmaker, conerted a free kick for the game's first goal. Talent Kids would go on to level at 1 but again, FC Appleton put their noses in front by a Ron Langfitt goal. Again, the lead was short-lived as Talent Kids would level again bringing the halftime score to 2-2. In the second half, the teams traded possession and chances until Barrie Cumberledge, FC Appleton's injury sub(a u-21) took the initiative off of a free kick and headed home what proved to be the winner. The manager of FC Appleton 13 said after the match: "It's great to get our first win of the season, especially on the road against a quality side like this. This is the sort of win that will hopefully kick-start our season."

Today's game against Fieras FC should be good. The Seattle Cataclysm haven't fared very well this season, though the team has continued to get more dangerous. My games with Enhac Kavey always used to be competitive, especially compared to my games with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

My team is still ruled by random.

How do they determine which team will be the home team in cups? The home field advantage is huge in this game.

The home team is always the team in the lower league. Beyond that I don't know.

I think it's decided by popularity or club coefficients.

A beautiful morning sun shined down upon the Inter City Visalia pitch this morning to greet the players from Inter City and Glendale. The high scoring affair started in the 16' when the Bunnies opened the scoring. Inter City battled back and the teams fought back and forth trading goals at 30', 33', and 37' to make it 2-2 at half. Once the teams came out for the second half, it was the same affair, the Bunnies scored at 69' to get a lead but inter quickly leveled again at 74' but the Bunnies took the lead again at 79' to make it a road victory and the first win of the year in a 4-3 bout.

After the match the Glendale manager remarked, "We were lucky today to pull out a win. We had some great performances and we had some abominable performances. Hopefully we can sure up our back line in the coming weeks."

There are 4 really important games tomorrow for manager John Deatrick.

To start things off, a battle of top teams will take place that will have huge ramifications on which team will finish in 2nd place in the top American league. Fieras FC faces SFVP in what will surely be a competitive match.

Around 7 hours later, the club will hop a flight to Curaçao where they will play their first match of the NA champions league. Deatrick's side is hoping to start this tournament off with a bang, but the defending champion of the Curaçao league is no pushover.

2 hours later, the Fieras FC U21 squad will face off against a familiar team in Seattle Cataclysm. Both club's youngsters will do their best to make it to the next round of the U21 Cup. Star forward of Fieras FC, Hugo Nguyen was heard saying "It's disappointing to face such a strong team this early in the tournament. We simultaneously fear and respect what coach and manager, Ulysses has done with his team. If we can come out of this one ahead, we will truly be fortunate".

Later in the evening, John will switch to his USMNT hat where US plays Panama in an extremely important World Cup qualifying match. If the US can't win this one cleanly, it could severely hamper their hopes of being only one of only 6 North American teams to move on to the next round. Panama has started the group 3-0, so this is all but a must win game for the US.

What a day, what a day!

Yesterday evening, FC Appleton traveled to play Union in a League 1 clash, which was a must-win for both teams. Both teams entered having lost 3 straight games and sitting near the bottom of the table. The manager of FC Appleton 13 stated: "when you're near the bottom of the table, you need to take points against every team that you can, and that will be the key tonight."

4 minutes in, FC Appleton tallied the first goal, here's the live call from the match broadcast "Langfitt (23) easily puts the ball in the net after a perfect assist from Gaskill (32)". From there, Union began to turn up the pressure, getting more possession and creating chances on the attack. In the 21st minute, Union would equalize. The 2 teams then played out the rest of the half to a 1-1 scoreline.

In the second half, FC Appleton took control immediately, here's the call from the 46th minute: "Mulla (2) delivers a perfect assist to Langfitt (23) who can't miss!" From there, Union did create some chances but possession began to even out. In the 68th Minute, Ron Langfitt of FC Appleton 13 was obstructed in the box, earning him a penalty chance, but the hat trick was not meant to be as the PK was poorly taken and saved. That didn't close the book on chances, though, as in the 77th minute, Carlos Sanoguet delivered a ball to Aart Tichelman to put FC Appleton 2 goals clear of the hosts. Just after this, FC Appleton were able to get 2 players on that don't get too much playing time and were also able to see the game out, winning 3-1.

The manage of FC Appleton 13 said after the match: "This was a crucial win for us and a game that we pegged as a must-win. We put together a very good performance and deserved the 3 points."

A correction - the Seattle Cataclysm is a competitive team which has some promising U21 players. The U21 Seattle Cataclysm team is awful, one of the worst teams in the league over the past few seasons, since I loan all of my best players to other teams and start my 16 year olds and 17 year olds on my U21 team, though midfielders Lander and Stokes, who share a starting spot on the senior team, were available for the cup match.

The Seattle Cataclysm upset the Pittsburgh Riverhounds' bid for a perfect season today. This was achieved by parking the bus and anticipating their attack. The Seattle Cataclysm's vaunted offense has continued to disappoint, but Josh Vernon was strong in goal to keep the Riverhounds off of the scoreboard.

The Cataclysm won 2-0 against the Patriots FC of Panama in the Champions League in their return to the Champions League.

The next match will be against the Union.

The new 35,000 seat stadium will be completed tomorrow.

Goal in the 89th minute by hometown favorite Hugo Nguyen seals the deal vs Panama. What a game!

Not to mention the top 4 US teams put on a clinic in the champions league, going 4-0 and outscoring opponents 13-1.

Fieras FC throws a celebration in honor of Chym Van Phuong. He's officially been named a red star player by international scouts. Fieras FC is lucky to have such a player.

An inside source claims Fieras FC middleman Mojtaba Oulhaj is next to be assessed and could be red star rated by the end of this week.
