Hi US League 1 Managers!
I feel our community is not really active which could make playing in the first league a little boring!
I'd hope to say hi to all of you, and please introduce a little bit about yourself if by any chance you read it! :)
I'm a Californian folk, coming from San Jose. Feel free to call me Tintin, or EK as your convenience!
If there is anything we can share and help each other, please feel no hesitate to let me know.
Best luck and have fun!
EK

Hey guys, just thought I'd drop into say hi. EK is kinda right and we haven't really made use of our league forum.
As for me, I'm on the other side of the country in Pennsylvania surrounded by the Amish Mafia. Call me Calcium or Brady either will do.
Good luck to all this season!

Hi there, I'm not from US but coming here to have fun. It's kinda hard here in the middle.
Good luck all.
Tak.

Wow, there is finally a thread on the United States forum!
I'm actually from PA as well. Perhaps this league should be renamed the Pennsylvania/Vietnam league?
What does everyone think of the game so far?
I have one suggestion if anyone is interested. It would probably be beneficial to us all if everyone could cooperate with buying tickets. If your opponents have better popularity, then it will be easier for you to upgrade your stadium and improve your income. The European and Asian leagues seem to have a significant advantage in this area thus far. I suppose that the ticket forum may be more efficient and otherwise sufficient though.

If I'm correct, Pittsburg Riverhound should be from PA as well? That is sort of a coincidence, isn't it!
Yes, I like this game so far, Vincent is definitely doing a pretty good job yet I really hope the US players could grow in a much faster rate so we could have a competitive and popular League like China or the Netherlands.
Btw, I don't understand what your proposal is for the ticket? Didn't we already have a ticket sale thread in the forum for that already?
Anyways, good luck to all US teams, esp. the one in CL and North American Cup! We need to kick some Canadian butts!

I suppose it would help to just buy the tickets from all of the home games on the results page when you remember to do so to at least help the teams that don't use the ticket thread. Anyone who already uses the ticket thread probably wouldn't benefit any further.
Ditto on the good wishes for the Champions League and North American League (which I believe the St. Louis Rams won last year). So far, it looks like out of 9 teams, 7 teams are on their way to the playoffs, and one team is eliminated.
I like this game better than rocking rackets since you don't have to start all over every few weeks and don't have to rely on logging on every 4 hours (which I never bothered to do) to search for the best players right after they are generated. It's also great that they are actively improving the game and generally listening to the suggestions that are made.

Wow so you are a Rocking Rackets veteran? I never tried that game before so no comment here. Btw, are you a soccer fan as well or just join the game since Rocking Rackets?
I'm wondering if other managers in US League also know about this forum or they are simply not active? What do you think about making this forum a bit more public and visible so everyone can participate more actively?

I played Rocking Rackets for a long time before joining this game. That helped me to find out about the game right when it started and start out in the top league. It's a fun game and worth trying out if you have any interest in tennis (though the developers have been neglecting it in favor of this game to some extent).
I like soccer, but I am primarily a hockey fan. I mostly gave the game a chance since I liked Rocking Rackets. I actually already play another soccer manager, so I wouldn't have even tried this game if not for Rocking Rackets.
I think that is a good assessment. Part of the problem is also that nobody has taken the intiative to start a thread. There are probably at least a few managers that would be more active if there were already threads to comment on. It would be great if the league threads (as well as the national team threads) could be made more public and visible.

It seems that other leagues have threads for general discussion of the current season, tournaments, and journals for individual teams.
What!!! We actually have a Pennsylvania family here? It is a coincidence. I'm also from Pittsburgh, PA. I'm glad this forum is actually active.
I agree with Ulysses that club popularity means a lot, but a tickets selling forum here is less efficient than the one we are currently using. If we sell a ticket to someone who already bought your ticket before, we got only half popularity because he's using an old IP address.
As a national manager, I want to say something here. I know lots of clubs have at least level 5 youth center, which means we can choose young guys' nationalities now. If we really want our national team be stronger in the future. Please eliminate those countries like Canada that would compete with us. You guys might already noticed that in season 7, the value formula would change. Young kids are more likely to get promoted into national squad.
PS: Good luck to those teams in Champion League and North American Cup.

The main forum is definitely more effective. It would still be worth buying tickets from the results page to help out the teams that wouldn't otherwise sell 10 tickets.
I currently have a level 6 youth center. That sounds like a good idea to eliminate other nationalities to increase the probability of producing a national team caliber prospect. I seem to mostly have been getting players from Mexico for a while. I probably have enough at this point.
The next step will be to save up to create 350 credit players from the United States. I suppose I should start creating future players from the United States (especially since the national team bonus from creating a player from a country with a weak national team will be diminished).
Good job managing the team. The team looks promising at the moment.
It would also be a good idea to start redistributing attributes for any important players that will be substantially nerfed by the upcoming changes.

I feel like this League forum needs to be more visible in the homepage. I hate the fact that we have to click several times to get here. Something Vincent should be working on?
I also feel like valentine shouldn't retire from US team just yet. Take on when you are still interested. If you can do the job well, just keep doing that.
Btw, you guys seem to give up the Title this season pretty early on? What is the matter?

Oh hi guys, haven't looked back at this forum in about a week or so, I've been super busy, so I've been more focused on just getting the basics done with my team each day. It's nice to see that some managers are looking to help each other out. I like the whole ticket idea and will do it myself when I can.
By the way, I also came over from Rocking Rackets, but I haven't been playing it much lately because of the odd hours you would have to get on to register for tournaments on some days. When I was into it, the best I managed to do was to take one of my players to 1st in doubles with a manager from Argentina and the best I ever had in singles were maybe a few players in the 20's and 30's.
