This thread is for discussing season 9 in league 1 of the United States.

Has anyone else made any major changes during the offseason? I sold most of my older players and replaced them with my younger players. I also picked up 2 great young forwards that have the potential to be among the better forwards in the league with really high scoring.

While I still won't contend for anything other than perhaps the 4th champions league ticket this season, I am looking forward to seeing how my team improves over the next few seasons.

I sold a few players in the offseason and bought some young guys, but mostly had a quiet offseason. Still trying to work on my facilities and it has been paying off pretty well. Hope to bring some youth into the main squad and get the young guys some good experience!

Our best keeper has gone.
Our best defender has gone.
Our best midfielder has gone.
Our best striker has gone.
And our luck in this transfer window are so bad that all our offers were declined.
But we just get our first win against a bot team in the NA league.
So I got that going for me which is nice.

Welcome back, karank. I failed to bring home a decent keeper. Now the plan to take Seattle Cataclysm's 4th place seem to far away.

You have a good enough keeper for now. He is at least about as good as most of the better keepers in the league, and most teams with good keepers have a keeper in his 30's or a younger keeper below 4 stars, other than Enhac Kavey with Cunilleras and my team with Vernon. Houchins is a bit older but is the other talented under 30 keeper. A few other teams have a ~26 year old approaching ~4 stars.

In any case, I think that the Shadows of Amn are one of the teams with a good chance to take 4th place this year.

It looks like Tornado may be quitting the game if they don't come back soon. I think that the Bunnies have a decent chance of staying in this league.

Kinda sad to hear about Tornado. There goes one of our original 5. :( Can't say I'm really expecting to do too much damage this year, but who knows? Maybe I'll be able to grab one of the last NA League spots. But on the bright side, I have a bunch of European and Latin American teams going after one of my youths right now, so it should be interesting to see how that plays out. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Congratz Pittsburgh on the impressive win over Subotica! You have shown that US League is competing fairly with European now! I'm amazed by your progress, another tough season for me it seems! :)

Thanks Tintin. I'm saving my energy for the Club World Cup, and this time lucky enough to upset Subotica with the help of his two injuries. But it also cost my first home league match loss, now I only have 50% chance to defend the league champion.

42mil... divide that by ten and that's the most I've been able to spend... WOW

Congrats for your first win, karank! It's a good matches. Our defenders have made mistakes so we deserve it.

Horrible luck for Enhac Kavey and SFVP. They are playing each other in the round of 16 of the cup.
