I believe that you're correct about the youth creation date, but although that's what I think happens I haven't read anything that confirms it 100%. 

Do we know if anyone has confirmed this for definite?

I'll just do it and see what happens. If my youth ends up freakishly young compared to the previous ones then there's a good chance that it is confirmed.

So just to confirm you brought in a level 9 staff and took out the level 10, who was due for retirement. 

How long was the 'handover' when you had both in place?

I put the L9 in place at 30 mins before the window changed (so 15 minutes allowing for the fact that it also takes 15 minutes to take effect) and retired the old staff 15 mins after the window changed. So the handover of having 2 functioning staff in the YA was 30 mins.

Okey dokey @Davo. Let's see what you get. Worst case is that his age is compatible with either option, so we learn absolutely nothing!

By my reckoning:

YA 4 age range is 14y26w-15y25w

Deduct 27 weeks for L10 staff, and 25 weeks for L9. 

So age range should be:

• 13y26w-14y25w with both staff
• 14y01w-15y00w with L9 
• 13y51w-14y50w with L10.

Yes, I would say that was pretty solid proof. 

Nice age as well, only 8 weeks older than the minimum. A shame about the Talent as that looks about the least you could expect for a YA4 supertalent.  

Still a very nice player though. Congrats.
