Σάββατο Νοέμβριος 30 - 18:47 @Mo I agree the wording is poor, rather confusing and seemingly illogical.
Vincent did explain this in a post somewhere on the forum. Part of the problem is when he introduced the Youth Academies he also reduced the age limits by 1/2 a year.
Both the minimum and maximum age settings are ranges rather than true minimum and maximum values.
When the setting is in whole years, such as minimum age 15, this means the age is 15y0w to 15y51 weeks. Because we say someone is 15 years old until the day before they turn 16.
Since minimum age 15 and maximum age 15 both set the same range it simply means the range is 15y0w-15y51.
When Vincent introduced the Academies the wording wasn't changed to reflect the new values with ages 14.5 and 13.5. But the ranges are still for a whole year. So minimum age 14.5 means 14y26w-15y25w and age 13.5 means 13y26w-14y25w.
In the real world someone who is described as 14.5 years old would be around 14 years and 6 months of age. But in the world of Rocking Soccer someone who is 14.5 years old means they are somewhere between 14.5 years and 15.5 years!
In my view it would be much more accurate and clearer to change the wording and replace Maximum age with a range.
For example:
- Minimum Age: 14.5
- Age Range +1 year (Choose +1, +2, +3 etc.)
