To paraphrase the immortal words of Steven “Stevie G” Gerrard, “We go again. We don’t flipping let this slip.” But who will be this season’s Gerrard giving it the big ‘un only to slip at a crucial moment and who will be this season’s Demba Ba streaking away to score the winning goal? We will soon find out!
In the meantime, we welcome back the Canvey-based power axis to the top flight as well as greet the optimistic manager of “We Lost”. Sadly though, we have waved goodbye to Cloughie and Matt. Hopefully, both will be back soon.

Mr. Alex Seymour (my noisy neighbour) might have a loftier goal but my sole aim is survival - so expect to see a large bus in front of my goal most of the season!

@Lee no our goal is 6 points off the Pixels and avoiding relegation/playoffs. Nothing fancy this season!
After successfully seizmically improving the league finishing position from 4th to 3rd, along with a third cup exit in successive seasons to Seaburn Beach, we have set our sights on the momentous shift from third to second in the league (and another cup exit to Seaburn for traditional purposes). To achieve such ends I've flogged a shed load of players and bought two midfielders and two strikers. I can't keep living on the edge like this though. I'll have to invest in the future sooner or later. Later is is, then.

Not much happening here; 2 or 3 oldies gone and youths promoted. Mid-table mediocrity is the best I'll aim for until we can afford Stadium 11.
Have Canvey set a new record? Following an injury to our first team keeper, the Beach Boys will be forced to field their legendary Nicaraguan backup. At 56years, 20weeks, this could be the oldest player to ever pull on a premier league jersey.
"I'm feeling pretty good since the hip replacement" muttered veteran Noah Furis. "As long as my false teeth stay in, I should be good for a half" he quipped while trying to find his glasses.

A brilliant perfromance from the old legend, he could show our Bernie some back exercises. Noah swears his flexibility is caused by regular yoga sessions.

Well it was close to being that. Good game!
A win against Seaburn at the 18th time of asking! Yes, we were lucky. Yes, they were resting players for the later champions league game, but a 2-1 win is a 2-1 win. Disappointed therefore that Seaburn manager Stephen has asked for a recount. Yes the result was close, but we have someone flying in specially from Pennsylvania to recount the score. Confirmation is expected within five days.
My appeal to have only goals scored by Felix Donkova counted has been rejected by the Supreme Court. But this won’t be the end of it not by a long chalk. I didn’t spend upwards of £10 on this Make Seaburn Great Again baseball cap for nothing.
The campaign to #stopthecount grows at Seaburn Beach after the club returned to the top of the table for the first time since gameweek 1. I only hope the powers that be come to the right conclusion and cancel the season now to give us a record eighth title in a row without the fuss and bother of having to win games and stuff.
Now has anyone seen Vincent? Vincent? Vincent? Vin-cent? VINCENT?!
