This means that when they do perform a move action, they will remain out of position for a long time. It also means that on set pieces they will potentially move to a very incorrect place for them to be and they'll likely never get back to where they are supposed to be (less impactful for keepers, but the danger of a keeper leaving his net is dangerous enough on its own). Most people put Lazy players at DCB. Personally, I feel even that's a risk, and I've actually been trying to invest in my future defense because I had the misfortune of generating two Lazy players recently that would otherwise have been decent.
