how bad is to buy a 40 y.o GK, even if is way better than the one i got now?
Absolutely nothing wrong with a 40 year old keeper.
This would be similar to buying a 30 year old outfield player but the age related drop off with keepers is a little slower than with other players.
A 40 yer old goal keeper is pretty much at the peak of his career. He will start to slowly decline for 7 years. After that he will start to increase again with training and theoretically will continue increasing forever.
Does that work with girlfriends too? Is the drop off less if shes a keeper? I heard fieldplayer girlfriends drop off sooner

Back on topic: the GK depends on a lot of things. @davo makes a very good point about the decline, but if he is way better than what you have now and he's in your budget, then there's nothing wrong in this in principle.
RS keepers get better and better in their 50, 60s and 70s.
