My little question (11)

th Pa ot paiboon >> saturday december 17 - 20:04, Edited saturday december 17 - 20:06

Hello everyone I myself should be regarded as a new player that has it all. Today I have a little question to ask.

I have been in this game for about 1 season now. In the last season my team was very successful, i.e. they were able to get 1st place in the league and get promoted in the current season. but in this season My team can't beat any opponent. But I want to maintain the level of the team. I don't want my team to go down again. If someone can suggest a few good ideas, I would be very grateful.

The next issue is I've tried reading some of the game's manuals. But I still don't understand much about facilities, i.e. I'm not sure if an office can be built once any facility is upgraded to level 7, can it be built? and in addition, having employees Guides seem to recommend that any facility be of a high enough level to be worth hiring. In this issue, what level must be appropriate? Thank you in advance for your answer.

In mid-season transfer window will open. Maybe you can find something there but starting teams have very few money. But early success is mostly not good thing. Building up decent team will take time. Numpty can tell you how long he sitted deliberately in lowest leagues to build up facilities. I started with my team from League 4 (picked it because of big TV-revenue coming) and got quickly promoted but then struggled several seasons in League 3 mid and lower table. I builded quickly TC level 10 in bonus period and started with young team strategy: buying only u21 players to train them and later selling for more money if falling out from first team. Old players may bring instant success but they just eat your money and after couple of seasons they are much weaker and lost any market value so you just buy again some corpses and again and it's like magic circle difficult to break out. But after more than 50 seasons i have reached to current level and played in European League on two seasons. Maybe i would reach here quicker but i have quite hot temper and after disappointing season sold almost whole team several times. Keyword is patience!

I don't remember exact order when newer facilities become available but there were some demands about what must be ready for that. Manual says that there must be something at level 7 for office so i suggest training complex for that as it's on level 5. Don't stuck too much to League 3 because your team is weakest there by star value and most of key fieldplayers are old and they will lose their value quickly. Unfortunately there are big differences between leagues in most of countries. My last promotion anatomy was building up young team with bad keeper- if they can earn promotion with bad keeper then they should be able to survive with normal keeper. It worked but still there was long struggling period between 8th and 9th places with relegation playoffs.

Some good advice there from @onuelver.

The most important thing at the start is to put all your efforts into building a club with strong finances for the future - Stadium and Fan Shop. If you worry about short term results and spend your money on better players and higher wages your progress will be a lot slower.

Although to be fair many people do seem to play that way, whether it's deliberate or they simply don't realise I have no idea.

If you prefer the slower pace of development and want to climb slowly every season then the most cost-effective way to get a useful team in the lower levels is to spend money on a good striker, one good midfielder and a keeper.  You can get 3 players on loan during the end of season transfer window.

And yes, you need one facility at level 7 before you can build an office. The best strategy at the start is to build 3 levels of office as soon as you can so you can employ 2 construction staff to speed up your  development.  One staff in the office and 2 construction managers.

There's lots of useful stuff in the game help. Worth reading right through a couple of times and then spend a lot of time reading the forums, where you can learn a lot from all the advice and discussions over the past 8-10 years or so.

Hello everyone, I have a few questions to ask. I don't think it's a good idea to start a new thread. Since the topic is titled "My Little Questions", so let me ask a question here. This would be nice since it would be a single thread. But if in the future This post is too much I will create a new post later.

let's get started I've been reading posts on this forum and it seems to have changed the defender to a defensive midfielder. This will take some experience to level up the passing. or something So I'm surprised If you've done it but haven't changed to play another position, how will it affect your play? For example, if I use my experience to upgrade passes to goalkeepers. What effect will it have on him? In addition, the so-called "strategies" value and who deserves it the most. I'm curious about the special attribute. Which each person deserves? What criteria do we have to consider? For example, correct, corner kick master, penalty master, winger, wall setting, defense, corner defense, dribbling, etc. These are all my questions now. Some of them may be in the forums which I may not have read. But if all the answers are in the forum I want my friends Please put a link to my thread Or if not, it depends on individual experience. And finally, right now I'm not sure how my team is overall. So again I will need more help from my friends in this community. Thanks .

I'm not entirely clear about some of the questions or what help you're looking for. Perhaps you can ask some more specific questions.

Regarding the specials, the best thing to do is to read all the detail on each one and see exactly what it does and how much it might help the player improve when playing in the different positions.

You can also look at how the top teams and managers train their players. Not everyone will train exactly the same way but you will see a lot of the players are very similar.

The question is related to upgrading EXP and other skills besides the main skills for each position. Most players tend to upgrade only their main skills, such as blocking for goalkeepers or passing for midfielders. However, I came across a post about changing a player's position, such as from a defender to a central midfielder, and how to increase their abilities, such as passing. This makes me wonder what would happen if I upgraded a goalkeeper's passing skill (as an example) without moving them to another position. Would it still affect their performance, or not? I have been following matches for a while and noticed that sometimes goalkeepers miss passing the ball. Therefore, I am considering upgrading skills other than the main skills for each position.

I understand that it may not be the norm to upgrade skills beyond the main ones, but I want to try something different and see if it can improve my goalkeeper's performance. However, I'm not sure which skills I should focus on. Should I upgrade their kicking or their communication skills? I'm also curious if upgrading these skills will affect their overall performance rating. If you have any advice or experience with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance,

Specials

Discussing each special in detail would be a very long post.

For advice on the best specials to train for each position it would be best to look at some (or many) of the top clubs, and then you'll get a range of slightly different answers. Look at all the clubs in and around the top of the Champions League and the stronger countries with many league levels. That will give you a great starting point.

You can start off by simply copying what specials these other managers use but in the longer term the most important thing is to understand exactly what each special does so you can decide for yourself how best to use them. There's not a lot of fun in blindly copying what other managers are doing.

Training specials takes a lot of time so to train efficiently you wil have to make compromises and prioritise the more important ones. And you can only prioritise if you understand exactly what they are giving you and why they are or are not important.

And part of the fun of playing the game is making those decisions for yourself.

Training Attributes

In general, the game works best with specialists who are highly trained in one skill for their position. Except for defenders (and defensive midfielders) it's best to train the primary skill for each position. The keeper's only job is to stop the opponent scoring, forwards are there to score goals and attacking midfielder's main role is to provide assists.

They may contribute to other aspects of the match but any xp spent on training other attributes means you have less to spend on their main skill, so they won't be quite as good at their main job. The game is designed so that to make a player better in one skill means he'll be worse at something else.

As you have noticed some managers do give a little passing to the keepers and this may prevent some passes going astray. But if you only train a little bit of passing then some passes will go astray anyway - and a keeper with passing only helps if he's passing to another player with no passing.

For instance if you train 22 passing (at 100%) this will give you 1.10 passing. This may or may not make much difference, but still costs you 6,540 xp which would give you half a blocking training on a trained keeper, equivalent to 0.025 (at 100%). So you have to choose between fewer passes going astray and a slightly better chance of stopping the shots.

Personally, I would rather have a slightly better shop stopper than invest in some passing, but not everyone agrees. Making those kind of decisions is what makes the game interesting.

At the end section of left menu is "Help" where you may find many answers(some of them are outdated like DM description bc even pure central defender work better on DM position than "oldscool DM with 3 balls of dueling and all other passing". 3 balls of dueling is not enough for defensive duty and modern DM has more dueling than passing to keep his star value on level that he can reach NT shortlist.

Special attributes are important but they are not well described in Help. They should be in some forum post years ago. They can be found on players and after them is blue ? clicking on that will display description of each attribute.

Hello, today I have a question for you.

First, if I were to choose one of the midfielders that I currently have. for him to play in a defensive midfield position What should I consider them? or just need to practice his dueling skills

Later, throughout the past season I noticed that My midfield doesn't hold the ball very well, what is the reason and how can I fix it? I would like to have guidelines from everyone to apply for further improvements.

Another question. Why is no one playing in the lw/rw position at all? Does it affect the overall competitive landscape? So we can move to lam/ram instead, right? Or actually it depends on our own team arrangement.

Finally, what special training should the lm/rm position do for them? I've tried reading the forums, but I'm still not convinced. So I want to ask again. Thank you.

You have so many questions that could turn into very long answers.

But they're the wrong questions at this stage. What you really need to do is to focus on developing the club rather than on how best to train your players.

Concentrate on building your facilities and fan base so that you can afford to buy better players in the future. Improving the stadium is crucial - and make sure you are always building something. There are plenty of threads giving advice on this already.

It's also worth reading the Help a few times.
