Grandkids. They have expensive tastes these days. When they turn 17 they want a brand new Ferrari, not some clapped out Ford Capri. I expect he wanted to remain popular with his grandkids before he died.
Earning that money per week,there's no way he would quit. We have to assume that he passed away at 73 after a tough stamina training session and the fee from the bank was his life insurance policy payout.
It didn't make sense getting rid of him to me.

Following the yearly review of Warren Crookshanks we decided he has shown enough improvement to get a new contract. We therefore increased his weekly pay from £ 119 455 to £ 122 401.

My first keeper was injured and second mid suspended. I used my last pull in left defence as he's ST and needed every game for xp and still couldn't lose and qualified to Europe with unsufficient team by GD. Have to sell some first team players anyway to get money for next generation and reduce wages. No desperate purchases of old players who would be needed only for 2-4 euro matches!
