During any match, players can receive red and yellow cards. These cards can lead to suspensions. A red card always leads to a suspension of 1 to 5 matches. Yellow cards lead to a suspension of one match for each third yellow card (so after the 3rd, 6th, 9th card etc.)
Cards and suspensions always count only within the same season and tournament. League cards have no influence on cup matches or friendlies and vise versa. A player who is suspended in the cup can still play in the league.
