National teams: National managers

National managers are elected by the managers in the league of the country and managers who own one of the internationals in the team.

Candidates

Each two seasons there will be a period in which you can become a candidate for the national team. This happens in the end of each even season (season 2, 4, 6 etc). To become a candidate you must be a VIP-user for the next two seasons (the period for which you can be elected). You also need to have finished the introduction steps. You can be the national manager of the league where your team plays or of any of the national teams for which one of your players is selected.

Starting from the season 15 World Cup, you can also be a candidate for teams where your player is on the shortlist, but not selected.

Voting

In the last 5 days of the (even) seasons everyone can vote who they think should be the next national manager.

Managers can vote for each of the countries where they could be a candidate. At the end of the voting period the manager with the most votes will automatically become the next national manager. In case of a tie the winner is chosen randomly.

If there is only one candidate then there will be no round of voting. This candidate will automatically win and become the national manager.

If there are no candidates the national team will be controlled by a computer manager.

Botteams

National teams that have no manager will be Bot teams. It is not possible to take control of such a team before the next election. There is no point in asking staff members to appoint you as national manager without election since this won't be done. The only way to become a national manager is by being elected.
