How's the new season preparation going for everyone?

I decided to take the locks off the U21 academy and have been busy buying a bunch of cheap and less-desired youth. The hope is they will become a revenue-generator in a couple of seasons but most have pretty low fixed attributes, so won't be selling for millions.

A new keeper will be between the sticks striking fear into all forwards, with the added support of an experienced defender and midfielder.

Hoping to add another midfielder to the squad but funds are running low.

I'm finally completing the turnover of many veterans, specifically on defense. I'll likely have at least 2-3 new faces in the back line this season.

I've already spent over 125 million RSD in this transfer window. WOW!

I now need to add one more young, impact midfielder and Jinlin has got just the player I want... It's too bad I won't be able to purchase this player but at least he will sell.

My focus is shifting to my trainings for the upcoming season and I still have a logjam of things I'd like to do.

I'm still getting my head around some of these changes and will continue to voice opinions to better improve the game. I'm skeptical but I'm willing to be patient while they figure this out.

My aim is to stay in League1, but it will be very hard.

how come two league 1 teams will against each other at the second round of national cup?

there are 3 pairs in this situation. we all start from the second round and face each other?

Lol you get no sympathy from me @Holan. The last 2 seasons I had to play you and TORO in the 2nd round (my first round) of the Cup... on the road...

As the final hours of the transfer window tick down, I'm pleased with the progress made with my club overhaul:

- Stronger keeper brought in
- Average age reduced by selling most of the 30+ players
- 2 loan players brought in (thought I would try something different)
- U21 squad not only re-established by acquiring a squad of less-desired players but almost immediately revamped, with players I believe could be knocking on the door of the main squad in a couple of seasons

The future looks bright at Canvey Island F.C. but it's a long-term plan so I would be happy to finish 11th again.

I was quite happy to get a 22yr goalkeeper who in a year should be better then my starter presently...Sold a few +30 players...Hoping for a 8th or 9th this year but it's a quite competitive balance once again...

Good job so far in North America @Ron. You've had 2 tough teams in the draws so far and you've been handling your business at home which is huge! Good luck in the away leg vs. FK Brocēni.

2 speed trainings and a trait for Backer and he'll be as good as either of mine in a couple seasons.

Hey thanks @Jax...we won on the road tonight 2-1 so we move on again to Q3 stage...Not sure how far we can advance but hopefully the ride keeps going...I would love to get a matchup at least once where I don't have a League game the same day let alone hours apart from my NA Qualifying...lol Maybe in Round 3....

@Ron It's certainly an eye opener the first time you start playing in North America. Not so much in the opposition(although you've had tough opposition) but in the managing of your roster while you deal with all of your competitions.

It will be much harder for you this season with the restrictions on who you can and can't play in league games. Harder for myself, too. Last season I was able to play a lot of 18-22 year olds in the league while my first team was competing in the North American League. This was critical in my deep run to the finals.

For now, if you can get to the Group Stages, you will have done very well for your first NA league campaign. Enjoy the extra stadium revenue that comes with it ;)

Despite my good start, I'm very concerned about my midfielder depth. 1 injury and I could be in very serious trouble. I have plenty of midfielders for the future but not enough for the "right now"

I'd also really like my team to score a goal from open play... (1 OG/1 Penalty kick)
