Now the candidates can register as the new term of National Team managers. I have run the Canadian NT three times and I think it is time for me to pass the baton. Fresh people brings in a fresh look, for a better future and impact of NT, it is better to switch manager in a period (in my opinion, 2~3 terms).

Hope the candidates can be very interested in the success of Canada and love to interact with us. Let the forum or communication be more active ~

The world cup will be held at the end of the season, so I will take the team to the WC. The new NT manager will run the team after that, at the beginning next season.

You've done really well for the country Holan. It's a huge effort to get to the WC. The team has been in good hands and has developed into one of the top North American national teams.

Let's try to get a manager from the Canadian leagues to run so they have the best interests of player development at heart.

I don't mean to speak for @Lujan but he's told me he's going to run so I wouldn't worry about it. It seems that for as long as I've played this game, the 2 Managers have done a very good job running the team.

I agree with @Alex that it's important to keep this job locally run. It's important to keep the window of communication open and to have someone that will be accountable.


When the team qualified for the World Cup, beating St. Kitts and Nevis, the opposing manager forgot to set his lineups and thus played his starters in both interland and the qualifier. This gave Canada a significant edge! The opposing Manager is a very well accomplished Manager in England and knows how to play the game but it's clear that he doesn't have the passion for the NT he's coaching or that wouldn't have happened.

My point is simply that Holan/Alex wouldn't have let that happen while running Canada because they have legitimate passion for the National Team. This is why it's paramount to keep that going...

You've done a great job Holan and it's obvious just how passionate you are about the game - hopefully after your well-earned rest you will be ready to throw your hat in the ring again.

Our first WC match is coming ! Malta often use 5-3-2, 1 DM + 2AM all come with playmaker, one of them has a 5.22 Set pieces. The FW are all with Long shots and at least 5.40 scoring (gold speed). The manager prefers scoring ability at fullbacks.

supposed it would be tied zero, we did a great job on first half with two unnormal goals.

they switched to attack with right flank, (Wooddell had a endurance recovery problem), if I could use Griffin as LB might be better. we already blocked the 5.63 scoring guy, but all ruined by the one came up with Determined........

super strong team. use the similar formation with Malta, 2AM + 2 FW, but is the upgrade one.

now in Group 5, Saudi Arabia had got the ticket to next stage but Malta had been eliminated. However, their performance also effect the other one place.

1. if we win or draw or Serbia not win, we breakthrough

2. if we lose and Serbia win, compare GD. since we won 1:0 and Serbia lost 1:2, they have advantage with more goal scored if it comes to this situation.
