thread for season 22, though this season will be very hard for subkidFC as will be struggling due to some selling of key players. Good luck to those who promoted from league 2 to 1. wishing you all the best.

I really have no idea what to expect this season. At different times last year my team greatly underperformed (think approx 1 win in 10+ games) & greatly over performed. I'm thinking I'll fall right into the zone between international play & relegation once again. I was looking to bring in a top end young midfielder but haven't found what I'm looking for yet so I might not make any changes other than a couple players coming back from loan. I like my forwards as I have 3 that are starter quality & my defense is solid if unspectacular. I need to figure out my goaltending soon but I'll figure that out later. I really like 3 of my mids but I have little depth.

This season is going to be interesting for me as well. I am only starting 5 players over the age of 21 this year. I expect it will be a tough year, but only up from here.

This is the year of my u21 team. I have 5 21 year olds, 5 20 year olds and a 19 year old on the team. If I don't win the u21 cup this season, I will be very disappointed.

The U21 Cup can be tricky. Every time I think I have a good team, I end up getting upset at some point. You might have a sufficiently good U21 team to avoid upsets though. Just be careful about players getting tired from U21 games if you plan to have some of them play both regular and U21 games.

My U21 team will be interesting this season. I have a 9.2* forward with all the good special attributes but only a 1.3* keeper (at this time).

All my players are between 5.65 and 8.9 base value.

Hoping that it's matchup proof.

Looks like I'm getting relegated. The only change I made from last season is one player that was only playing half of games is now starting. Otherwise no changes from the team that finished third. I don't understand this game.

Well it looks like its going to be one of 'those' starts to a season. 15 goals given up in the first 7 games & a -7 goal differential. This includes 3 or 4 goals given up in each of the last 3 games. Those games were against some good teams but I'm gonna have to hope my team rallies a bit here soon and starts winning/drawing a couple.

Ash Burn in the first round of u21 cup. Are you kidding me?

Well I guess it will be trial by fire. I am confident in my team this year. If I can't beat them at home, I don't deserve to win the cup.

I just pulled Ash Burn for the next round of the US Cup but at least I got him at home. He's beat me 6 of the last 7 league matches so its about time that I'm due one.

So.. I think being in NA league, not champs league has been pretty nice. It nets me a lot more popularity a year. I know I am missing out on the nice prize money, but in the long run, I've gone from 138th in the world to 114th in the world in popularity in just 2 seasons.

Thoughts?

In my opinion, I'll take the Champion's League prize money over a spot in the North American League. But, if I'm not going to finish in the top 4, 8th place is a great place to be. Most teams in the our league would be locks to make it to the group stage of the NA league from qualifying round 1. That gives you a lot of international competition for younger players, sold out stadiums and of course the popularity bonus.

Was finally able to take out my u21 nemesis, ash burn in the u21 cup. Outshot them 23-3 and won 3-0. That's 2 powerhouses out early.

10 league 1 teams already out including subkid, ulysses and ashburn.

6 non league 1 teams still in it.
