torstai maaliskuu 1 - 09:05 Belgium has got many great players, the best quality squad by far they ever had in fact, but in my view they are not a team, and there's nobody who's a real leader in the team. The ones who present themselves as leader, haven't got what it takes to make the squad a team of winners. Back in the old days, it used to be the other way around: not very special players, but relying on teamwork, and with lots of commitment and tactical strength.
Against mediocre teams in the qualification rounds, they are able to overcome this default, but against the top teams, like Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brasil, France, Uruguay, these defaults come to the surface.
I remember the Euro 2016 game against Wales, also a mediocre team with only one really great player (Bale), but Wales was a real team. Well, Wales sliced Belgium to pieces.
I expect the same is going to happen in Russia. So for me they are not amongst the favourites.
By the way, don't forget Romelu Lukaku as forward in the Belgian team.
Favourites will be, as already mentioned, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brasil, France, and Uruguay as outsider maybe
