After a heavy 4-1 defeat, and the transfer window coming toa close, questions are being asked again of manageress Natsumi Miyamoto the once loved pop princess attends press conferences and matches to jeering and a chorus of boo's having lost the support of the fans. The Spirit Squad's league form continues to shock and awe in all the wrong ways, the once mid table team have only scored 9 goals and if it wasn't for a late own goal in there last defeat they'd still be joint worse scorers in the league what worries fans is the belief that they have 20 plus million to spend and Natsumi has failed to bring in quality reinforcements for the struggling side, has she done enough to stay up? will she be in charge of the spirit squad come the next season more to come as this story develops.

Update :

The Rumour mills are hinting that athletic defender Ronnie O'Neill will be arriving after a deadline day deal was made the youngster is coming to the club for a whopping 20 million and is rumoured to be signing a deal as a future prospect, what was Natsumi thinking? this move is certainly bold but if his not good enough for the first team was this purchased made at the wrong time.

We here at League One TV have managed to secure an exclusive interview with the increasingly reclusive Seaburn Beach manager. We will go live now to the centre circle at the Old Tram Shelter.

Q. Stephen, thanks for agreeing to talk to us. The question on everyone's lips is why do you remain here in the centre circle of Seaburn Beach's stadium?
A. Well, it's quite peaceful here most of the time. It gets a bit busy on match days, but a lot of the time it's just me and the groundsman. He makes me move around the centre circle every couple of hours or so. That way, the grass still gets enough light so it can grow.
Q. Er, okay. Can you see a time when perhaps you might end your vigil?
A. No, not really. I've got everything I need right here: some grass, some white painted lines, I can even get showered when they turn the sprinkler system on. The only slight irritation is when there's a game on - the referee makes me leave the field before kickoff. Oh, and I do miss Jaffa Cakes. They won't let me have any until I decide to leave the pitch for good.
Q. Right, I see... But who is taking training every day?
A. My two staff members.
Q. Who are they...?
A. The level 9 skill guy and the level 8 skill guy. I forget their names. Level 9 skill guy will eventually become level 10 skill guy and level 8 skill guy will then become level 9 skill guy. I know exactly who is who.
Q. What about when they both reach skill 10?
A. Oh. [long pause] I hadn't thought about that. I'll probably learn their names then.
Q. What about tactics?
A. Well, I still choose the team and design the tactics. The scout pops round before every match and we make a tactics board with worms. Sometimes they wriggle off, but that just makes for more surprising and innovative tactics. Billy here [shows a worm to the camera] actually has quite a lot of tactical nous.
Q. Urgh, worms.
A. Well, that's not very nice, is it? You'd better give Billy a kiss to show that there's no hard feelings.
Q. Get off me, urgh. No, get away... And now [scuffling noises] back to the studio [more scuffling noises].

Well, interesting times at Seaburn Beach. We'll keep you updated as to any ongoing developments there with Stephen and er, Billy the worm as and when we get more news.

News flash: Billy the worm has been controversially appointed as official assistant manager at Seaburn Beach following 5 consecutive league wins. Stephen, speaking from his centre circle lair, was quoted today as saying: "This lad, I mean, worm, can go all the way to the top if he wants it. He just needs to stay focused and stay away from any passing birds."

Moments away from quarter final kick match Spirit Squad vs Strood City, and under fire manageress Natsumi had these strong words,

'If we going to go out, we going to give it all we can give, we at home let's not go out with a whimper we'll give them everything we can and they'll have to be better then us tonight'

Her fiery words was followed by a bold squad selection playing 10 of there usual starts in a attacking 4 4 2 line up, they certainly look ready to give it ago despite there appalling league form. It's the FA cup anything can happen.

And then the match happened another loss 4-1 followed by rumors of natsumi's sacking.

Last 12 games.

Strood and Liverpool are fighting for the title.

Three newly promoted teams are ranked exactly as what happened in the last season League 2. Will any of them escape from the relegation ?

4 teams are fighting for 2 European league opportunities.

The remaining 7-8 teams will consider what they can do to change their fate next year.

The gap between top teams and regular League 1 teams, League 1 and League 2 are increasing...

Next match is very important for spirit squad they host Birmingham Hunter in real 6 pointer a win would steer the struggling outfit who's manageress has been under heavy fire all season away from that dangerous trap door, a loss however will leave only 1 point between the two sides.

Well, Natsumi, you could make an audacious move to try and lure Billy the Worm away from Seaburn Beach?
