After the first season in history ( 6th place) Rot-Weiss Essen has ambitions in this season to reach one of the international competitions, which means the 6th place minimum. After 2 victorys and 1 lost game, we are currently on the 5th place. Today there is the 2nd Round of the German Cup. We are looking forward to beat 1. FC Helli on their own ground and get into the next round. The game is played at 2 p.m.

Today, Rot-Weiss Essen could beat 1. Fc Helli with 4-1 and reached the 3rd round of the German Cup. The goals were scored by Leusmans (5., 81.), Hilscher ( 34.) and Stojmenovic (71.) Markus Müller made 2 assits and was the Player of the Game.
Tomorrow our U21 plays against SC Fürth U21 ( 14:00). In the evening, Rot- Weiss Essen plays against Fc Bäm Bäm, currently 2nd position in the league, at Stadion Essen (20:13). Statement of the coach :
