I'm going to be brave and put a bet on you to win the league Stephen!
Looks like we pretty much have our normal setup of the last few seasons, Seaburn out in front, a regular 5 in the other European spots (order varies!), a group of wannabes in 7th to 12 th getting closer, and then the teams trying to avoid the relegation playoffs.
The problem is to beat Stephen to the league title, you basically have to beat everyone else - draws are not good enough - and at least match Seaburn in head-to-head. Just can't see Canvey catching up a 6 point gap in the second hald of the season...
No mention of my team taking a shock lead against the table toppers? :rofl: Although we won't mention the final result...

Makes me feel even more embarrassed about failing to even make the group stage...
Scammonden progressed after scoring three goals in six europa league games. Very lucky, to say the least!

Lost my goalkeeper before the Q/F. Had to play the legendary 68 year old stand in. Hilarity ensues. Oh well, next year.
4-1 home win for me. Heavily against the balance of play in terms of shots, but the scout was always confident. I'd imagine the Beach can muster at least one goal in the away leg so I'd be surprised if the Beach doesn't give me yet another semi.
But the injuries keep on coming. I've had to part with some eye-watering sums to keep things ticking along.
So his next birthday is 69 Alex. A magic number. At his age he will never get further than a semi.

No CL win this time round. Just a 1-0 defeat courtesy of a GK I cannot ever seem to score past. Still, I wasn't even expecting a final this season so getting there was more than I had hoped for.
