Hello all,

figured I'd start the season 80 thread since one hasn't been created yet. As you all saw I finished pretty low in the table last season, to be honest I was lucky to not be relegated to the third division. In fact it was my worst season in 24 seasons. I haven't bought any new players in quite awhile and had a billion in the bank so I figured its time to rebuild. Got a decent young goalie for cheap to replace my aging GK. I got a stud CB to build a defensive line around going forward and signed three good young players a CB, AM, and Striker to solidify the middle of the field. After the upgrades I have the 6th best average best squad rating in the league. Goal for this season is to finish in the top 5 but wont be heartbroken not making promotion. Next few seasons will splash some more cash upgrading my youth facilities and making a few signings to stay in the top half of division 2 going forward. How was all y'alls offseason and plans for this season?

After a loss in the promotion playoffs last season, expecting to make the playoffs again this season, our standard goal.

YA1 is churning out good enough squad players that I've only been selling on the transfer market, saving up to build a Lv11 stadium. Probably 2-3 seasons away on that.

How do you read the histogram/get that information? Ive seen you post it before but Ive never understood what they mean.

Reading in order, we have teams with Best XIs of 13.45, 13.35, 13.15, 11.80, 11.50 (marginally better at the top than last season)... all the way down to 6.95, 6.90, and 5.00. I just pulled the figures from each team's landing page. (I converted from stars/balls to numerical ratings a long time ago.)

Madisonians is the 13.35, the second-best figure, so that gives me reason to think I should make the playoffs unless I mess up tactically, and am in the running for the top of the table.

Even in numerical form, it kind of reads like a graph if you tilt your head clockwise. We have a mode in the 11 range, with a secondary mode in the 8s. The top 3 teams are more clustered than the other tail, where we have a 5.00 squad some distance away from the next-closest figure of 6.90.

yeah the trick is  to turn it 90 degrees anti clockwise. That makes it easier to see  the conventional  hist distribution 

I haven't replaced my defensive line from a few seasons back. The goal is  to finish 7-8. A lot of things will have go our way to finish higher. The goal this season is to get the finances to fund the next big facilities upgrade.

But, these could be Isaac Casamayor's break out season.

Also, and different side note, my third round tie on the Cup competition could resemible a war crime more that a game. With my team in the role of the victim.

The NTstats show Prew with 64 caps and he has played 1 match since. Why is there a discrepancy
