Anyone else had the problem of trying to buy players of being highest bidder and the player going elsewhere? 2 players so far!! Becoming a bit of a joke!!

I haven't been buying any players this summer, but it's definitely happened before, and I'm sure it will happen again.

Not really much you can do - just be happy when you manage to buy a player when you aren't the highest bidder!

Yeahhh... it's tough to improve your team once you get to League 2! But you'll work it out!

Im hoping the market will quieten down in a day or two. The players i wanted were a v reasonable price aswell! Im in for one at the mo but kensington is favourite for him. Maybe he'll have a bad day allround!! Lol

Can happen. 33% chance of buying a player means that in 1 of 3 events, you get him.

Well ive finally managed to pick up a striker. Im v surprised i was the only bidder, just have to wait and see if he is the one to take me a bit further this season. Aiming for top 10 this next season

Not that expensive really and purchased below market value. Good fixed stats and fit, no fixed training yet. So he'll be able to boost his speed and power fairly quickly. Will improve over coming seasons and already trained in long shots.

Can you boost the speed and power any morr than that? I thought it was a max of 5

I meant when his speed and power drop to below 5, you'll be able to boost them back up again as he was born with golden power and speed. So it will be a relatively short timescale (depending upon your TC level and staff). 100% for the first one and 120% for the second. So he has greater longevity in your squad.

It will probably be a couple of seasons before you need to do that, so initially you can just concentrate on boosting his scoring.

Ok, now i understand. Hes a long shot specialist so dont see the point in adding sharpshooter aswell. Just hope he does the business as my strikers struggled last season

Compare him with Matiu Kebbeh in my squad, who I purchased in the last Window. Yours has better fixed stats, and started with golden speed and power. The original manager wasted some XP on passing that could have gone on scoring. Dueling can be useful but I'd personally have concentrated on his scoring.

I think you've made a decent purchase.
