FC Knudde was the next team to visit Leeuwarden. Cambuur had trouble with the well organised FC Knudde team in the first 25 minutes. There were hardly any chances. A briljant pass from Azcagorta gave Nobel the opportunity to open the score for Cambuur, and he didn't miss.

After 30 minutes FC Knudde fired its first shot at the Cambuur goal, but it posed no real danger. Cambuur continued to be the better team without creating many chances. But one of the few chances created was converted by Kameling, who made it 2-0 just before half time.

The match showed the same pattern in the second half. Cambuur was the more dangerous team, but created few chances. FC Knudde had trouble finding the Cambuur goal; the keeper of the home team had a very relaxed eavening. Cambuur score one goal in the second half: Kroeger converted a perfect pass from Wouda to make it 3-0.

Cambuur started strong against SC Noordoostpolder. After 11 minutes Nobel opened the score for Cambuur. Noordoostpolder then tried to take control. Though they managed to create a few chances, Cambuur remained the far more dangerous team.

In the 27th minute Kamerling proved this point, when he finished a pass from Kelly. And he repeated this trick in the 35th minute with a pass from Azcagorta. At half time Cambuur still had a 0-3 lead.

When Nobel made it 0-4 just 2 minutes into the second half, it was clear that Cambuur would take 3 point back to Leeuwarden.

Cambuur dominated the second half of the match, but dispite a huge number of corners and chances, Cambuur did not score again. SC Noordoostpolder didn't convert any of their chances as well, so the score remained 0-4.

In the fifth round of the Cup Cambuur playes away against SC Zeist. Zeist is an opponent Cambuur knows well; last season played against this team twice in the second League.

Cambuur dominated the first half of the match, but didn't reach its usual level of play. But a sharp counter, that followed upon a corner from Zeist, was finished by Nobel to gove Cambuur a well deserved lead. Though Cambuur created a few chances more, the score remained unchanged till half time.

Cambuur's second half was no good. Passing was poor, and Cambuur created only a handful of chances. Zeist was more dangerous in the second half, but lacked the quality to pass Cambuur keeper Milunović.

Cambuur showed some of its skill again in the last 10 minutes of the match. First Kamerling scored Cambuur's second when Azcagrota gave him a pass he couldn't miss. And in the dying seconds of the match Nobel showed a his quality by cleverly fooling the Zeist keeper to make it 0-3.

Cambuur started the game against FC Houten full of confidence, as the team has been on a winning streak for quite some time now. It was Houten though, that fired on the goal first.

The visiters didn't come to defend a point, but faced a Cambuur that played strong. Cambuur created more chances then Houten, and was rewarded in the 32nd minute, when Kamerling scored from a pass he received from fellow striker Nobel.

Shortly after Houten had a good chance to equalize, after it was awarded a free kick near the box because Kuyt had committed a foul against Krul. Krul took the free kick himself, but Milunović kept a clean sheet.

In next attack Cambuur increased its lead, as Nobel put the ball past keeper Arbuckle.

After the break the level of play dropped a bit. Cambuur was in control, but not many chances were created. Cambuur scored once more. Just before the end of the match Deortega made his first game in the main squad an even bigger succes by scoring Cambuur's third goal.

The match against FC Beawulf was one soccer lovers had been looking forward to for quite some time. The clash between the reigning champion and the newcomer to the league who has brazenly taken the lead in the first league. Though Cambuur had not expected to be able to meet itself to Beawulf and Lost Keys United, it boasted a 6 point lead on Beawulf when the match started.

The first chances of the match were for Beawulf, who almost scored from a corner. Cambuur did much better when it received its first corner; Chidambaram finshed a briliant corner from Kelly to give Cambuur the lead.

The home team was more dangerous though, and equalized in the 24th minute. Star striker Siemerink beat Milunović with a powerfull shot.

Two minutes later Cambuur was in the lead again. This time it was Cranmer who finshed a corner from Kelly. Both teams created several more chances, but Cambuur enjoyed a 1-2 lead during the tea.

The second half had hardly started or the home team had leveled the score again. Kiculović passed the Cambuur keeper with a powerfull shot.

The home team now tried to put pressure on Cambuur, and they partially succeeded. Beawulf got a few good chances, but failed to pass Milunović. Cambuur was more effective, as Chidambaram converted one of Cambuur's chances and gave the team a renewed lead.

This was a serious blow to Beawulf. In the next few minutes Cambuur created quite a few chances but failed to increase the lead. Cambuur remained dangerous though, and the home teams hopes were dealt a final blow when Nobel struck home. Keeper Valois was beaten for the fourth time.

Though both team fired on each others goal several times more, the final score remained 2-4. An impressive victory by Cambuur. Reporters couldn't remember Beawulf ever taking 4 goals against.

Cambuur's winning streak came to a sudden halt. SC Houtsnippers proved to be much more effective then Cambuur in Krimpen.

The game started very well for Cambuur. The game was just 7 minutes under way when Kamerling fired home. It was the first decent attack from Cambuur, but akso the start of a barrage at the Houtsnippers goal.

But while Cambuur was creating chances (and missing them), a rare break out from Houtsnippers gave De Witte the opportunity to equalize. And 5 minutes later he fooled Milunović again to make it 2-1 for the home team. The remaining minutes of the first half yielded few chances for both teams.

The second half was only 3 minutes under way, when Chidambaram score. Kelly's corner looked to be lost, but Chidambaram thought otherwise. Then a few minutes later Milunović made an awkward move and had to leave the field limping. Mondragon made his first appearance in the first team of Cambuur to defend the Cambuur goal.

Cambuur kept creating chances, and was rewareded in the 60th minute, when De Marest gave Cambuur the lead.

Cambuur seemed to control the game, but failed to take a 2 goal lead. That costed the team deerly: 6 minutes before the final wistle Lantsheer made the equalizer.

Cambuur now went searching for a renewed lead, but the attempts to score didn't worry the Houtsnipper's keeper. And to make matters worse, De Witte score a winner for Houtsnippers just 1 minute from time. He was top scorer of the League for a reason last season.

When a final corner failed to deliver a goal, Cambuur had suffered its first defeat of the season. Though the team had almost all game statistics in its favour, it had failed to be best in the most important one: goals scored.

After last weeks defeat, Cambuur was motivated to undo the damage. As other high ranked teams had failed to win their games this round, a victory would restore Cambuur's 9 point lead.

Cambuur's intentions were made clear from the very start. The game was just 2 minutes old when Kamerling gave Cambuur the lead.

Cambuur remained the more dangerous team and increased its lead to 0-2 when Nobel fired home after a good pass from Chidambaram. And when Kamerling made it 0-3 in the 32nd minute, Cambuur looked certain to go home with 3 points.

Cambuur's victory was secured in the 55th minute, when Kroeger made it 0-4. Cambuur's second half was a very poor one though. The home team was at moments the stronger team on the field, and Dalfsen created a fair number of good chances. Milunović is not easily defeated though, and he managed to block the Dalfsen shots untill the 89th minte. Then Koudijs got the better of him to score a well deserved goal for the home team.

Cambuur managed to restore the four goal lead in injury time, when Kelly fired home from a distance.
