kamis juli 12 - 04:56 Most of my roster is getting really old. I probably have about 1 more season until most of them are too significantly diminished by age. I'm not sure if I feel like buying replacements (most of my prospects aren't quite old enough to be useful) to try to sneak into the 4th seed. I'm tempted to go for a full youth movement to give my best prospects more experience than they would get in U21 matches while jump starting their positional experience. My stadium already sells 180,000 seats against teams with 0% to 40% of my popularity, and that number should slowly crawl towards 200,000 over 5-10 seasons. If I demote, I could lose a lot of money, but I would need to spend at least the amount I would lose to remain competitive.
For now anyway, I'll probably just tread water with last season's roster. I think I can reach a result similar to last season's result. I still have a great keeper, though my scoring totals will probably go down a bit as my old forwards approach the threshold for becoming ineffective.
Meanwhile, my youth academy 12 has been great, my scout's office is ready to produce 2 2,000 credit players in about 1 more season, and my training complex should catch up in 1.5 seasons. After that, I'll upgrade my health center twice more, upgrade my TC or YA once or twice depending on what finances look like, and then put everything into the museum going forward.
There's money to be made from being one of the first to produces the high level TC or YA players, but I wonder if anyone decided to forgo those upgrades while building a war chest (I vaguely recall something about a 10 billion limit).
