Season 33 (20)
I had the same problem using Firefox.
At the time, I checked rockingsoccer.com on isitdownrightnow.com which claimed that the website was down.
Thanks everyone. Back working for me. Good tip on isitdownrightnow.com, too.
Hélio Chagas is a very good young goalkeeper,The second half was a stunning performance.
On a whim, I decided to try to calculate the maximum popularity possible using excel. I took into account daily decline, diminishing of daily decline from a 10 star fanshop staff member, daily conversion between types of fans modified by a 10 star fanshop staff member, average daily popularity gain from selling out the fanshop for every game, average daily gain of fans, and average daily gain of fans from games. I have the numbers for draws and assumed 38 draws per season to calculate for the average team. I did it again with estimates for gains from 38 wins per season. I applied the model on my current numbers of fans, applied the next day on the previous result, and so on (I dragged the formula down until the numbers stopped changing). I assume league games for attendance totals below. This doesn't take into account international matches since I didn't have the relevant popularity data available. I also didn't take into account popular players.
1) Assuming 38 draws and 2 10-star staff members: the maximum was about 12,359,230 popularity (438,374.2 club, 277,777.7 normal, 288,762,1 casual). This is roughly enough to sell out against much weaker competition with no VIP/live attendance bonus/stadium staff member. The problem with this is that most teams will be in the 0% to 40% range, though popularity is high enough to compenstate. You need to keep 2 fan shop staff members to maintain this popularity
2) Assuming 38 draws and 1 10-star staff member: the maximum was about 7,765805 popularity (264,917.6 club, 217,476 normal, 272,961.2 casual). Assuming a 10-star stadium staff member, this is enough to sell out against teams above 40%. With VIP1, you can get 190,000. With no VIP or attending live bonus, you can get 180,000. Against teams below 40%, you get 170,000 with VIP3 and 145,000 with no bonus.
3) Assuming 38 wins and 2 10-star staff members: the maximum was about 14,464,660 popularity (513,192.6 club, 328,877 normal, and 319,336.9 casual). With no bonus of any sort, you sell out every game. With maximum bonuses (opponent popularity still restricted to 100%) in a Champions League game, you could theoretically sell 830,000 tickets. Against a team with 300% of your popularity (it would have to be a glitch team of some sort), you could sell up to 1,060,000 tickets. Keep in mind I'm guessing at the popularity for winning games based on the numbers for ties and the maximum number of fans that can be earned per match with a level 10 fanshop. I think the 38 draw model is more useful for the average team.
4) Assuming 38 wins and 1 10-star staff member: the maximum was about 9,040,362 popularity (307,983.4 club, 259,728.8 normal, 301,862.6 casual). You can sell out games against teams above 40% with a 10-star stadium staf member with no attendance/VIP bonus. You can sell out against weaker teams if you attend the match live at home; with no attendance bonus or VIP bonus you can sell 170,000 tickets against weaker teams.
5) Assuming 38 draws and no staff members: the maximum was about 4,761,106 popularity (154,077.1 club, 164,050.7 normal, 252,976.2 casual). The top 3 teams in the U.S. would start declining with no fanshop staff member and average performance. You can only sell 135,000 seats with a 10-star stadium staff member and the full attendance bonus against a team above 40%. With a second 10-star stadium staff member, you can sell 155,000. Against teams below 1,900,000 popularity, you need at least one 10-star stadium staff member and VIP3 to justify having stadium 11. You won't profit much unless you then add a second 10-star stadium staff member. In other words, you pretty much need to have at least one (eventually) 10-star fanshop staff member to justify building stadium 11.
6) Assuming 38 wins and no staff member: the maximum was about 5,644,511 popularity (182631.2 club, 199,742.2 normal, 279,761.9 casual). You can sell 160,000 seats against teams above 40% with a stadium staff member and the maximum attendance bonus. Against teams below 40% with the same other bonuses, maybe 125,000 seats, 150,000 with a second 10-starstadium staff member. With no attendance bonus and one 10-star stadium staff member, you break even against weaker teams.
Conclusions:
1) A 10-star fanshop staff member is necessary to take advantage of the stadium 11.
2) 8,000,000 popularity is probably enough if you have VIP or watch matches. After that, you're extra popularity is offset by the decreased value of the other team's popularity as few if any teams will surpass 8,000,000 popularity. In the United States level 1, you might drop 20,00,000 per season from unsold seats, but it could be justified to spend that amount on a second staff member in the training complex.
3) I'll probably drop my second fanshop staff member for good as of season 37. I've been training a second staff member for my key facilities, so I'll be able to nearly have 2 10-star staff members in the training compelx or youth center once I switch over.
4) You can see these results reflected in the lower yearly popularity growth for the teams with more than 7,000,000 popularity who only have 1 fan shop staff member: the number 2 team and number 3 team. Both teams are quite successul with one 10-star fanshop staff member. I expect to reach 4th place in 3 seasons at which point teams that win more will start to catch up again (until I start to win more).
5) Relegating to level 2 would be devastating for ticket sales.
6) VIP's get a substantial advantage with stadium 11.
