It's coming down to the end of the season. With about 5 games left we're starting to get an idea of who might go up or down.
Sai Gon and Atlantis have the best shot at the automatic promotion spot. Sai Gon has an excellent keeper, which results in low-scoring games and very few losses (they top the league in both categories). Atlantis has the younger squad, so on their day they can get the results. My club has been on an insane run of form, if luck holds out we could have a shot, but I wouldn't bet on it.
There are a lot of clubs that have a chance at a promotion playoff spot - in addition to the 3 already mentioned, there are: Mesa, Cattle Grinders, Appleton, Huskies, and Frankfort all within 2 points of the 5th spot. Mesa and Frankfort are bot/inactive teams, so they're probably not going anywhere. Grinders were in the top league last season, so they have a good chance at getting back. Appleton and the Huskies are both very young teams, but the Huskies have kept around a few veterans that might give them the edge.
There are 2 automatic relegation spots. Aurora (formerly Cool Guys) would be a good bet to get one of those spots. I won't miss their 0 popularity. Same goes for Modesto, Real Madrid, and Augusta who are currently outside of the drop zone, but are bot/inactive teams that aren't helping this league any. Hopefully Beerschot and Beach City can avoid the drop, since they are active teams. Even if the are in the relegation playoffs they should have enough quality to see off the challenge of the 3rd division clubs. Baker's is a relatively new human-controlled team. Doesn't seem to be online all that often, could be bad news for the club.
In terms of who's joining the League next season, Syracuse Silver Knights seem like a lock to be relegated from the top league. They are inactive and have few fans, won't help this league any, but certainly don't belong in the top league either. The Bunnies could make a return to League 2, but being in the top league has certainly helped their club. The Las Vegas Devils are a surprise to be in the drop zone, and Athletico Chay Coi and Cross FC are not yet safe - I suppose someone has to be at the bottom of the table. I'd be a bit surprised if more than one club gets relegated from League 1.
At least 2 clubs will come up from League 3. From 3.1 Demacia would be a welcome addition, and the Albatrosses are also a very good League 3 side. What we don't need is more bots coming up. League 3.2 is interesting - Unit-01 is by far the class of that league. They have almost already secured the automatic promotion spot. Unit-01 would do very well in this league, they have a relatively new manager, but the club is very young and talented. In terms of players they are where I'd want to be at the end of next season. I wouldn't expect a second club to come up from 3.2.
Feel free to tell me where I'm wrong, and in a few days everyone can see how far off these predictions are.

I was hoping to avoid relegation at the beginning of the year, however I sold off my best keeper and midfielder because they were getting quite old and wanted to get my money's worth out of them. If relegation is in the cards so be it, but I feel I can at least get a playoff spot and win that. I played Demacia from League 3.1 and they beat me in the cup quarter-finals. They are a good team, but they are older at defense, keeper, and midfield (the important positions) and will decline soon. Not to say they will be a bad team but definitely one that is beatable who could finish somewhere in the middle. Syracuse from league 1 is definitely the favorite to be auto-relegated but anything can happen as the Bunnies and the Devils are having a run of poor form at the moment.

We're really got lucky this season. We got an easy table with most of the bot teams and almost no major injuries or suppended players.

Congrats Avy! And thanks for making at least one of my predictions correct (Cappuccino Mark 4 is formerly Unit-01 who I said would promote from 3.2). The promotion was not luck, you've got a team that's much better than your competition and will only improve. Welcome to League 2, I look forward to playing against you.

My teams in the middle of a Winless streak now. My players are nicking themselves left right and center. Pretty soon they ll be in the IR nursing their pinkies.So by the looks of it is more likely that my team will be in div 2 next season. And that would be a better result considering my team cannot really compete with 5* + talent players.

I'm going to have to agree with jpeso. I've got to buy a few players or wait another season for some of my younger guys to start to fill in. I don't have a lot of cash lying around so looks like I'll be here next season.

Somehow, by going winless in my last 4 I've managed to stumble into a promotion playoff spot. I'll give it my best shot and see what happens. I see a showdown with my old nemesis, the Bunnies coming in the near future.

Well played to the Cattle Grinders in our promotion playoff series. I feel like I got unlucky in the first leg at home. I scored in the 22nd minute. Then in the 23rd minute one of my central midfielders who has played something like 185 matches for the club decides it would be a good time to get the first red card of his career. The Grinders scored 2 goals after that, but I managed one goal to keep it level going into the away leg. It's always tough to win away, and the game was a slugfest with around 35 total shots. The first half was scoreless, then I finally came up with a goal about 60 miutes in and hung on to take the series. Now I'm just waiting for the draw for the play-in game. Should be fairly evenly matched with either Cross FC or the Bunnies. I realize that I have no chance in League 1, and an argument could be made that I would be better off in League 2. If I stay in League 2 I will definitely tell myself that, but until then I'm all in for fighting for promotion. I will do my best to represent League 2.

I was cheering for the bunnies hoping they d drop a 3 burger on us today but it wasnt 2 be.
It is going to be difficult competing with the best in usa. Initial scouting suggests that we ll be back in league 2 next season.

It seems like most of my initial predictions were pretty close. The one glaring error was saying that only 1 team from League 2 would get promoted. Great job to Sai Gon and the Atlantis Burn on your promotion to League 1!
I wasn't expecting promotion, but I'm really happy that I made it. And since my opponent in the promotion playoff, Cross FC, hasn't logged in since before the draw for the playoff and didn't pick their lineup for our games, I don't feel too bad about causing their relegation. I know I logged in every hour during those 2 days just to make myself sick with worry and anticipation. I won't say goodbye to League 2, since odds are that I'll be back. Goals 1-3 for me next season are avoid relegation, anything after that is gravy. I will try to take full advantage of being in the top league and sell as many tickets as possible. I'll start my stadium upgrade tomorrow to have it ready for the first home game next season, and make as much money as possible to get into a better position for the future. Unfortunately, I'm selling players as it is to raise money for the stadium upgrade, so I'm going to war next season with the army I've got. I really enjoyed Season 6, looking forward to Season 7 - best of luck everyone!

Well hello again League 2! I was glad to be a part of League 1 this past season and it gave me a great opportunity to see how good teams play, however, it was a shock to my team as we gave up 80 goals in the season. Now it is time to start looking to next year. I hope to stay competitive but I did sell a lot of my players to make room for some young guys. Good luck to everyone this next season!
