SEASON 39 (22)

Congrats Valentine on what I believe was a perfect domestic season. Super cup win, US cup wn & league win (with no draws or losses in league play). I guess next seasons goal is no league goals conceded.

Thanks everyone. To be honest, I never thought of such an all-win league result. Yes, I know Shane Blacker is a world-class forward, but scoring 80 league goals in one season still impressed even myself, especially considering the man behind him, the one who's been feeding him assists is 32 years old.

That being said, I'm happy with this season's performance. But still, Riverhounds are suffering a midfielder labour shortfall, not to mention we lost QF of Championship, a cup we used to dominate in previous seasons...

For some reason, it seems that I can't put a player undergoing special training up for a loan.  It's a midfielder that is halfway done learning playmaking.  I'm sure there was a post at some point including this update with a valid explanation.  I can imagine it would be frustrating to pay for a player to be loaned to your team only to have a change made to the player that conflicts with motivation for the initial interest in the player.  Even so, I've always considered the buyer to assume such a risk when making a bid for a player trained by another team.  I think I will still have a few days to put the player on the market though.

Ulysses,

one  of the reasons given for this transfer block is the potential for collusion.  A manager could tell another manager that a player is receiving special traning.  A midfielder with playmaker, for example, is more valuable that one without.  So, the manager with insider knowledge could bid on a player in a less competitive auction.

Did someone say collusion?

That makes sense.  I'd prefer that it be handled by showing what a player is currently training, but it ultimately isn't too big of a deal.  I ended up loaning a different player anyway because of an unexpected addition.

I had planned to replace two of my more ancient forwards with an upgrade and a promising prospect, but I noticed that Noperi was on the market yesterday and decided to pick him up.
