Season 60 and Tre caffe corretto (43)
Simply the best
Bengaluru FC won their first League title since season 9 and ended FC Ulhasnagar's League streak at 17. And they say xvii ~ vixi is just a Roman superstition or "satrah pe khatra" just a colloquialism. In all seriousness, if you add Goal Diggers to the mix, this season should see another dog fight at the top.
Better than all the rest
Mohun Bagan FC started reaping the results of their patience and finished the season with another Asian League berth. Having as many as five players with double digit goals meant they could part ways with Kundan Rajasimha who had been a presence in the top third of the pitch for the previous three seasons. Their player growth signals that they will likely finish fourth or maybe even steal points off the top three.
FC Nagercoil worked hard this off season to find Jenckes and Kupis clubs to gain the all important first eleven playing time. Their K-squared pairing at the top should continue to improve this season. Inazuma XI further shored up their defence by acquiring former Azerbaijan NT stopper Tabrizi who was romoured to have had a falling out with the National team coach when he was asked to " get a haircut to improve your vision". But he should help them rise towards the top of this group this season. FC Amritsar had a relatively busy off-season in an attempt to find players that would help them stay relevant while trying to stay true to their mantra of "acquiring right player at the right price". Thundering Pune will be leaning heavily on the Yeshey "the wise one" Alam to try and repeat their performance from the previous season. These four teams will all be in a race for the remaining Asian League Q1 spot
Anyone else
FC Delhi and Air FC bring up the rear so to speak.FC Delhi have been quieter on the transfer market but they have been rumoured to be bringing in sponsors to fund building state-of-the-art training facilities and stadium. Like the good man heard on the cornfields, " If you build it they will come". Air FC have been surfing the TM and their disrepute meant P. Painel amongst other players have decided not to report after they reached an agreement. Panel famously said "I would rather be Melted into air, into thin air" Air FC would be well advised to build their facilities to prevent having to field knackered-and-bandaged-eleven or they might be close to bagging the record for forfeiting matches in the season.
FC Baahubali stuck to their long term plans and have promised fans that they will dominate league 2 and be back better next season. FC Chas once again managed to avert demotion making this their fourteenth consecutive season in League. FC Sahāranpur have again won the second division riding the feet of their Asian Belgian forward Xiu. Barring new human managers taking over you would expect Chas and Sahāranpur to finish bottom of the league.
Good read... @viktor
Good Luck with your Asian League fixtures Mohun Bagan and Thundering Pune
good writeup victor,
exciting to see 3 way battle b/w FC ulhasnagar ,Bengaluru FC and Goal Diggers.
nice post viktor! good luck to everyone for this season and especially the international games.
My aim is to do well in the league and cup .My squad has gotten a bit weaker in the midfield area. And i bought a few players to make money but overall it is kind of the same squad as last season. The stadium 11 happens in a few weeks and we will upgrade the health center asap the injuries are getting really common for the older players
thanks for the write victor!
Aims are indeed to go for all the possible trophy's in the Indian leagu.
Continental ill try to get as many points again to get our coefficient as highly as possible (for more tickets or better tickets in the future). At the moment i feel that we are all doing well in the first two rounds.
To bad that Nagercoil and Tundering Pune had hard drawings.
In the championsleague K3 me and Bengaluru will get losses but we got another chance in the playoffs of the continental cup to advance.
In the continental league, i see chances for Goal diggers and Mohun Bagan to advance to the playoff stage
Soooo there is a big chance we got 4 teams in the playoff phase of the continental league and thus 4 chances to go to group stage to farm more points for India!
Conclusion: Lets do it booooooyyyyyys!!!!!
Love these reports Viktor, keep em coming :blush:
Seems that our continental campaign is getting stranded in the playoffs :( all my money is on bengaluru to advance.
The chinese team i got is unbeatable and has a big chance to win the competition. Hate thse drawings
Argh it looks like none of our teams made it to the group stages...Well we still have a few more points than what we had five seasons back. So well there's at least that. But there are three leagues below ours who have teams still in international competition.
yeah really unfortunate losing 3 teams in the playoffs.
In the league Looks like this season we are out of contention. Im considering blowing up the squad in the mid season depending on our position and just focusing on making some money to perhaps try next season again
Today we say goodby to
Elliot WetherellHe was the first self trained player under my guidance that reaches the 16 star mark and a rock in the defence. He had a dream to go to Europe so we let him go when we received the offer of 40 mil. Its a good deal for a 29 year old so we wish all the luck to him!
Varati has now the chance to become a keyplayer in the defence and grow!
At the end of the season we will try to give Prado and Adani also a chance within some other clubs
Nice to see that your replacement is ready just in time with the 9 point breathing space you have earned.
We let go of Paudel and Valli, two players that had been cornerstones to the club's previous few campaigns. We are at least 3 seasons from having enough to acquire 5 players to help compete and they would both be too old by then. In retrospect we should have sold them as soon as the club ownership changed and we might have been ready sooner.
The other active team in this window was Nagercoil
Nice tranfer window got santosh (Bhutan) and marijin (Netherlands) for future will help our club in long term ...and got some other youngsters too...
I take big risk to upgrade my stadium to 14000.Lets see what happens in future to my finance
Based on back of the envelope calculations, assuming you attend the matches live and sell all your tickets , you would be filling more than 8000 seats. If you fill 8k seats, the stadium income will be 1/5 higher but the stadium maintenance per day will increase by Stadium income/35. So your increase in profit should be
(x/5)*m -(x/35)* n.
x = current stadium income, m = matches in upgraded stadium, n = number of days remaining in the season. As long as you have 1 home match for every 4-7 days remaining in the season, your overall profits for the season will be higher
Of course since I couldn't find an envelope, I rounded the amounts lol.
But even after accounting for rounding errors , I think you should make a bit more money than you would have pre-upgrade. Even if the profit is not huge, next season should see you fill your stadium up.(;TLDR) So good call dwapar
