The best way to deal with this virus is as stated above: The government should requisition large venues such as stadiums to establish temporary hospitals and requisition hotels for medical observation. People who have had close contact with the virus carriers go to the Hotel together for medical observation and virus testing. Once found to be carrying the virus, he should be transferred to temporary hospital with mild patients for treatment. Moderate and severe patients are treated in specialized hospitals. This is the most effective and thorough solution that has been proven in China. But this requires a large amount of medical manpower and materials. Some countries cannot afford it .This is also objective reality.
This virus infects people of all ages. Relatively speaking, older people are more dangerous because of decreased immunity and physical fitness.
I don't understand why you refused to wear a face mask at the very beginning. Please note that the virus is transmitted mainly through droplets and mucous membranes. If you carry a virus, wearing a mask can prevent you from infecting others. If you are healthy, wearing a mask can prevent you from being infected by others.
As for now, try not to go out and not go to crowded places. Wear a mask when you go out, wash your hands frequently ，in orderto to prevent infection.

The study, published in the journal pediatrics, found that the average age of 2,143 children was seven years old, including 379 children under the age of one. Of all sick children, 731 (34.1%) had been laboratory confirmed and the remaining 1412 (65.9%) were suspected.
@Loner I heard that there was intentional under reporting of cases in China in the beginning/initial outbreak.
You mean hide the virus? In fact, there is. In early December 2019, people in a market in wuhan were already infected. They went to a hospital for tests, and doctors also determined it was a sars-like virus.
In December, not many patients are infected, and they are not very sick. News of the virus caused a small panic in the area, but the local government misjudged it as not serious and could be contained. The government has banned doctors from disclosing information and even penalized some who did so in the media. Local governments also fail to report to the country as required. Later, after the situation became serious, on December 30, the national health department discovered the situation and sent experts to wuhan for the first time.
Due to local concealment, these experts found nothing and still made wrong judgment. Later, the highest level of experts were sent , who discovered the facts and made them known to the whole country on January 20th.
From then on, everyone knew what had happened and began to mobilize the whole country. But it was much too late. Many of the infected people had already left wuhan, carrying the virus out across the country and around the world. China has fired senior local officials in response.
To be fair, at the start of the outbreak there was no reason to assume it would spread as rapidly as it did. Other coronaviruses are transmitted a lot less efficiently. It takes a while to realize the gravity of the situation. They should've acted more rapidly after they found out, but at the first outbreak there was no way to know what it would become or that it even was a new virus.
This doesn't justify the underreporting that followed though.

It's a well known saying that the first casualty of war is the truth. This effect of this virus is no different.
When any government wants the population to act in a certain way then the temptation is to manage the flow of information so that the population will generally comply with the government's advice and instructions.
With this virus I would guess that the local officials wanted (1.) to avoid a panic in the local area and (2.) feared getting in trouble with their superiors so hoped to contain it and keep quiet.
Ultimately you can never be sure that what you hear in the media is always the whole truth, especially in countries where the media is either controlled by the government or subject to political pressures.
East and West are both biased in different ways. It's always wise to use multiple sources from countries with different worldviews to help establish the truth.
China's disease control system has a strict hierarchical reporting system and disclosure of information requires higher level authorization. As the Chinese New Year approached, local government did not want to cause panic, so they took measures that was wrong in fact. This misinformation has misled the disease control system and led to the spread of the virus. Of course, many local officials have been fired and may face further punishment. At first, there was a lack of understanding of the infectivity and lethality of this virus, after all, it is a new virus.

Carrasco if the government does that they end up putting everyone at risk.. for me I think every frontiers should be on a lock down. Yea it would hurt the world economy but it's a risk we must take. Self isolation is another key. If the patient is developing symptoms of the virus then they call the health care services who comes to pick the patient and desanitize his/her home thereby reducing the spread out the virus. I'm Timi I just want to make common sense.

In the event of an emergency and when humans do not know the truth, conspiracy theories will always exist. For now, however, describing viruses as biochemical weapons is merely political propaganda by a few countries, and there is no enough evidence. The focus now should be on global solidarity and overcoming the negative effects of the virus, rather than blaming each other.
In addition, in the RS world, it is necessary to avoid talking about political issues.

The plague was so small that the government health system cured the sick and wiped out the epidemic at the very beginning. This has nothing to do with this virus.

Every city has sick people. But for this virus, our earliest patient record is December 8th, in wuhan. Wuhan is a big city with a population of more than 10 million, so there was a huge outbreak of the virus in January, just before the Spring Festival.

@ Carasco I wasn't talking anything political did I mention names of any country or political party ?? No I didn't.
@ loner why did the government went ahead with the festival back in January after few cases were discovered ?? I think letting the new year festival take place in spite of the cases and also extending it ( who does that ???) (knowing fully well millions would be moving to and from there) it's the reason why we are where we are today.
Common sesnse would have let the authorities postponed the festival or cancel it for the year all together.
Common sense is not common afterall.
