Today we seen the top two teams go head to head with Chelsea the visitors at the Strood Temple. Strood City who have been sat on top of the pile for some time now would have looked at this game as a must not lose whilst Chelsea seeing it as a must win. A win for Chelsea would have closed the gap to just four points!
In an action packed first half Y. Atlas who leads the divisions assist table set up the leagues top scorer, E. Ferreira for what has to be goal of the month an excellent shot from 25 yards out!
Prachuab then proved he not only has defensive qualities holding that midfield by getting on the end of a quality corner from Guesdon.
A lapse of concentration from the normally reliable England international Hotchkins allowed Guesdon to set up Ferreira's second.
By this point the stadium could be heard all accross the city, singing 'cheereo cheereo cheereo' as the Chelsea not so faithful streamed out of the stadium with 15minutes still left of the game. The lack of belief filtered through to the Chelsea players with them resorting to hoofing the ball long everytime wasting posession,
There was anything but a lack of belief in the Strod camp as manager Kezza was seen in the directors box 6minutes into the second half with a glass of champaign!
