Hi all. Thanks for voting for me as your national coach. You can post suggestions right here or send me messages directly. Here are a few things I did already:

• I changed the shirt color and time preferences; hopefully, this new design would fresh the team as well. 
• I removed some players who're older than 30 and leave those free slots to relatively younger talents.
• Our NT is pretty good in attacking but super weak in defending. That said, I cannot even use solid five defenders with Correct. I've probably sent several managers requests to train Correct on those players. Our goalkeeper is pretty weak too.

Foxley will train correct after training man marker which will start on 12/21.  Penfold will probably not get around to it for a while, though developing his special attributes will be my primary concern after finishing with Foxley.

I have a question about WC Qualifications. As some of you might already notice that the US is drawn in Group 9, which has only 3 teams in this group considering other groups have 4 teams. After 6 rounds, Group 9 teams including the US only would play 4 matches while other teams would have played 6 matches. Since the rule is 6 best teams advanced to the next round. Does that mean we have a very small chance into the next round even if we're No.1 in this group?

Typically how it works is the groups with 4 will have points earned against the worst team in their group removed.  This will compare 4 games among all the first place finishers, so the teams in the other groups won't have 2 extra games worth of points.

Where it gets confusing is that these can change.  For example, Aruba is currently first in their group, and has earned 6 points against T&T and Puerto Rico.  If Aruba wins in match day 5 while Antigua also wins, they would lose two wins against Puerto Rico and pick up two draws against Antigua.  So instead of going from 6 points to 9, they would fall to 5 in the competition against the other group leaders.

I'm not applying to the US NT manager this time. I'm sorry I failed to help the national team into the World Cup. But I think I did a good job promoting young talents; the squad right now looks pretty promising for the next World Cup. If anyone's interested, please go ahead and take responsibility.

The US national team had a good win today in North American Championship qualifying.  We won 3-1 at Martinique.  This win puts the team at the top of the group after 3 of 10 games.  The team should qualify, but we dropped points after tying Antigua in the US.

The US team got a good win today in Aruba.  This win was a bit unexpected.  Though the US is the better team, I had a difficult time getting simulations to favor our team.  We played for a draw and ended with a 1-0 victory.  

This was an important win.  Aruba seems to be the 3rd best team in the group (Martinique could be doing better, but their manager may not be setting lineups).  This win away puts us in very good shape to avoid the 3rd place playoff. 

Next up is Barbados at home.  We won 5-0 in Barbados earlier during qualifying.

The US got another good win today.  We beat second place Antigua and Barbuda away.  At this point qualifying is almost certain.  We sit on top of the group with three matches remaining. We have two tricky home matches against Aruba and Martinique, then a match at winless Dominican Republic.  I'm hoping to get our younger players some experience in the last couple of qualifying matches.  We'll need a good result in our next match against Martinique to really feel comfortable.
