It has been a pretty quiet to start season 33 so far outside of the national team discussions.

Welcome to L1 for the Brooklyn Bats who had the misfortune of opening his season at Pittsburgh.

For my part, I got some luck today and managed to drag out a point against Pittsburgh. Thats only my 4th point (all from draws) in the last 43 league/cup games against them so I 'll count it as a moral victory!

I ended up tying my first game of the season that I was winning by 3 goals with about 10 minutes left.

I upgraded my defense a little bit again this season.  My offense will be a little weak because my starters are getting old, though I have at least 1 young forward that is good enough to start and will soon be a good replacement.  At midfield I finally brought in my 6+ talent intelligent midfielder.  I need to get around to training the special attributes for these younger players at some point though.  Right now I'm focusing on Shuff's endurance for the NT.  In any case, I'll probably have a result this season similar to my result from last season.

I'm now only 11,000 popularity out of 6th place in the world.  After that, it will take 1-2 seasons to gain 100,000 popularity to possibly take 4th.  Once I can sell out all my games without 2 stadium staff members, I will finally switch to 2 in my youth center and later in my training complex.  This may occur before I can catch up to 2nd or 3rd let alone 1st.  I'm training a second staff member for my youth center and training complex at the moment.

I'll finally finish stadium 11 on Wednesday.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I am playing team "Adolf Hitler" in the cup. That is one newbie manager I am NOT rooting for. Hopefully admins tell him to change name. It was the first time in 2+ years playing I reported anyone, but felt I had to.

Sidney Town has had a minor infusion of youth this season. This is part of a multi season effort to turn over my roster.

I was looking at the new building levels now that they have bene added to the help files and they get very expensive, very quickly. 

Scout office adds two new levels at costs of 53M & 96M. This seams pretty steep just to get back the scout areas they are taking away and have access to the 150M 2k credit player (looks to be 6+ talent based on previews). Kind of wish I had saved credits on the players I just created but I will probably avoid these upgrades for a while.

Health Center - I'm guessing this will become increasing important for those players attempting to max their YC as they will be able to maintain smaller rosters. I'll assume most won't pursue this upgrade as I don't think we even have a HC 10 in league one at the moment. 

Training Center - Construction and maintenance costs speak for themselves. This is probably the one I'm more likely to pursue upgrading first.

Youth Center - Also quite expensive. The talent levels are amazing but the continued reduction of players per season to 1 at YC 16 will force managers to be more careful in filling out their lineup. It will also ensure that the market isn't flooded with YC 10+ talent. Also interesting that advanced levels allow for preferences on special features.

Just my quick thoughts on reading through it.

I can only afford to go up to YC12 or TC13 with the huge maintenance costs.  I'm trying to decide what my best course of action is, and of course the timing is pretty bad since I'm still only at level 9 on my Stadium.  If I go for either, it means delaying my Stadium for possibly a very long while and having little income, so I need to think very carefully about my plan.

Here I am, thinking wow. I've finally got a TC10 / YC10. I'm in the big boy club! NOPE. Pretty soon people will, once again, be pulling better players than I am. :D

This has been a tumultuous season so far. I was down near the bottom of the standings for a while, and now I'm suddenly back in a top 7 position.

Mike, I had the same thing happen to me using Safari & I had to go in and override my security settings. I had this happen to another site I use a lot last season and they sorted it out within a few days.
