Season 43 (17)

Its a sad day with Cooper having been fired from the Terriers.

I beleive that his team will stay a bot team until it drops from the top 50 in the North Amerian rankings.  I may have the details of this rule off, so please correct me if i'm wrong.

Regardless, its sad to lose such an active, competitive manager.

How's everyone's season going?  I'm currently in the third division and leading by 7 points!  I'm hoping to continue to rise up and reclaim a spot in league 1 eventually!  We will see.

Ranks- thanks for getting the chatter going.

My team got off to a slow start this season.  I had higher hopes.

This will be my best season in my career as a manager. Most exciting season for me yet. The squad that I picked over 11 seasons ago is finally coming into their final form, with the help of a couple new signings. I'll be going down in a couple seasons after I sell my squad; my only hope is that I take some silverware down with me.

Valentine - I telemetry how it was during the early seasons, lots of talk, etc.  Let's get back to that!

Peter - now the Challenge is continue to cycle in and out the new players and older players without dropping off at all!

As for me, I know it's league 3 but I'm too of my league by 9 points (second place still has a game in hand) so hoping to slam the door by winning a couple more!  We've had us and downs but we are coming together at the right time

Congrats on the success, Peter!  It's good to see another player find success, though we are all collectively still short of the top spot.  I wonder who will eventually break the streak.

It looks like my challenge to the top 4 will end soon, but I'm quite happy that my team has maintained a continental spot.  It's not clinched yet, though.

It's good to see you back, ranks!  I miss the Apple Cup.  (That's what it was, right?)

Ha!  Close - I think the Apple Cup is something in Washington.  My brother(who has since retired), myself and Cooper(who also seems to have retired) contested the Cheesehead Cup due to our ties to Wisconsin.  Sad to see many people go but it's nice to see new faces and teams moving around.

I've been floating around the game for awhile on and off but I've committed to becoming more active and hopefully helping the USA forums become a little bit more active.

I'd like to echo congrats to Peter as well. My slow climb up through the leagues coincided with those lower division Farcealona teams. I think I've probably conceded more goals to Sadooghi than just about any other manager!

I've had a fair amount of good luck this season in winning and drawing some tight matches. I'm pretty happy just to be out of the relegation zone considering my lack of star power.

Keep it up, Eggy!  Hopefully soon(within 4-5 seasons) I can make my triumphant return to the top division!  What are everyone's offseason plans?  Buying players?  Upgrading Facilities?  Selling players?  Standing firm?

Offseason plans: continue training as many special attributes on youngsters as possible; will myself to not spend money on anyone in the transfer market; get as many young players out on loan as possible.

That's one thing that I've been terrible about: getting the most players out on loan as possible.  I'll be looking to try to upgrade my stadium when possible but I'm not getting the requisite attendance to be able to do so.  I'll probably move on a couple of my older players and bring in a couple of projects but for the most part I'm with you.

The most sustainable way to be consistent is to have a pipeline from your academy to your first team and I am getting there.  I'm probably 2-3 years away from seeing the majority break through but I can wait.

With 2 games to go, it's shaping up to quite the race for the last 2 North American league slots (7th and 8th place).  With Sidney Town and Detroit Blazers on deck for the Colonials last 2 games, we're going to need some help.

Can't wait to see what happens.  Down in league 3, I am one point from clinching the league title!  Today's the day!

Also, congrats Peter!
