Thanks Beawulf,
I'm curious to see how it will go tomorrow against you! One point against me might be enough for you to become champion since your other 3 games should be won by you. You can expect my strongest team though ;)

Using the analyse tool I'm not very hopeful. The match is about two days too early for me, as I can almost create a new player :) But first, I have to win my match tonight (and win the other matches as well...) Judging Feyenoords game today, it's easy to lose an away game.
My team had a total offday (analyse tool: 3.0 pts vs 0.0), and two injuries as well... This does not bode well and is very disappointing :(
Ouch, that's really unlucky you seem to have to miss your best forward against me...
Still, it's not over, you may as well get lucky against me, or Lost Keys can have an off-day as well, it's the same formula for everyone after all.

Invincible Delft 1-1 FC Beawulf
In spite of having to miss their best forward, FC Beawulf was clearly the better team today. They needed to win to keep good chances on the title this season and this was clear to see from the way they played.
Delft was totally outclassed in the first half and never became dangerous, while Beawulf got several excellent opportunities to open the score. They must have sorely missed Siemerink though, since Delft got to half time with a 0-0 score but very little hope of winning this match.
In the second half, Beawulf got a free kick when Baudelaire got a yellow card. Michiel Verhoef stepped up to take it and didn't dissapoint, putting Beawulf at a 0-1 lead. The entire stadium fell silent as they realised this probably meant it was all over for Delft today.
Invincible, who had not gotten many clear chances to score now had to find a way to get goals against the best defensive team in the league or they would surely lose. This seemed like a tough challenge, but in the 73rd minute it was the normally solid defender Best who helped Delft when he accidentally directed the ball in his own goal!
Both sides then went for the win, but no more goals were made. Beawulf's defense was too strong for even the talented young forward Dost, while their attack wasn't strong enough without Siemerink.
Neither side will be very happy with this result, as Beawulf now depends on a mistake of Lost Keys in the race for champion and Delft could have used every point in an attempt to pass Feyenoord, who can now take a 3 point lead again.

I Like the result! :)
The game was bad, especially for the Delft point of view. We will see what happens, still I'm not sure if The Keys have the best changes yet, but its now up to us. And that is improvement. :)

Nice match story Vincent, my team played better than I expected (from the last few matches). A point was what I hoped for prior to the match, now let's see if I can at least win the remaining games. My hopes are vested on VVAP on saturday, but today they were rubbish.
At least an exciting end to this first league season, I'm proud of my team regardless of the outcome!

Invincible Delft 2-2 Astar
Due to the poor performance of Feyenoord, Invincible still has a chance to ends on the third spot. It didn't show though that their players were eager to grab this chance. After an inspired run that brought them back into the subtop they now appear to be falling apart at the sight of the finishline.
Astar took the lead in this match by converting a corner in the 27th minute. The only thing that can be said about Delft's play was that they really failed a lot at their passes. With a pass completion percentage of under 50% they failed to build up any decent attack.
With only 10 minutes left to play, most fans had already left when Berard scored the 1-1 for the home team in the 80th minute. The few that remained saw their hopes for a miracle recovery quickly destroyed when Astar scored the 1-2 3 minutes later.
The most devoted fans now headed for the exit, dissapointed that their team could lose at home in such a crucial fase of the season.
Only two fans saw how Andre Dost earned a point for the home team in extra time, though no ones knows whether they were still paying attention to the match.

Invincible Delft 3-1 Dalfsen United FC
After the Houtsnippers won with 1-4 away in Sleen, the third place was out of reach for Delft. The best they could do was a fourth place and to do that they had to win their last match. An 8th place still was possible too if they'd lose their last match.
While their manager thought a 4th place was worth fighting for, the players at first seemed to dissagree. In the opening fase it was Dalfsen who got all the chances. Dalfsen is not an easy-scoring team, but in the 17th minute Hoogteijling helped them a little by directing the ball into his own goal.
It looked as if Delft's season could end in a big deception, but Dost took his responsibility and fixed the defender's mistake only one minute later, scoring directly from the kickoff with a beautiful distance-shot.
If people would call it a lucky shot they would probably be right, but it was about all Delft could manage in the first half of this match. 2 chances for Delft, 6 for Dalfsen, it still didn't look like Delft could finish the season on a positive note.
The second half however was an entirely different story. With Sadami for Boerdijk (who played again a horrible match) Delft's attacks became more fluent. This resulted in more chances for Delft and less for Dalfsen. Shortly after the break Dost scored his second goal and put Delft in the lead.
Dalfsen could still have leveled the match but they too weren't at their best today. In the 89th minute, Koudijs, who played his last match for Delft, scored the 3-1, securing the victory for Delft. Koudijs is listed for transfer and his good performance today persuaded the away team to make a bid to get him to Dalfsen next season.
With this result, Delft will end on the 4th place, regardless of the outcome of other matches later today. A decent result. Delft's board has announced to be please with the performance of manager Vincent de Boer and are looking forward to working with him in the next season as well. They expressed the ambition that the club should play for a top 3 position next year and qualify for champions league football.
