I was expecting to be in the draw for the European league qualifying round (same as Canvey Island) but I'm going straight into the group stage for some reason.

I guess it's a positive, as I avoid an early exit and I'm now guaranteed the gate receipts for the home games.

In a season that started poorly, it was eventually a good one for the Monks. Another quarter final of the Europa League, and second in the league to Jaypridee despite securing 100 points. The highlight was the win over Jaypridee at home in the cup final though. Despite going in as underdogs, we got the Abbot involved in how we could set up to run the game and against the odds came away with a 2-0 win. Our second cup win and out third major. The Abbot has got the cheque book out again and we will be even stronger next season, I think. It depends on who takes over BakerMan 's vacant seat, but we must have every chance of adding to our major haul.

It'll be a while before the coefficient drops enough for someone to take on the team. At least it won't be a succession of jumpers, for now. 

Not necessarily good for our European ranking though, with a bot managing the Champions League campaign.
