Thanks Lee i am glad I asked. I remember reading that there was a bug that prevented players from staying through the relegation playoffs i.e it did not affect the promotion matches but affected the teams playing relegation playoffs. I mustave made it up :-)

Correct! Experienced it season ago. All loan players were gone when relegation playoff games started.
