Season 82 (45)
Congrats Monk. Very well deserved.
I see you have the Post Office organising the catering. I do hope that's a freebie, you don't want them anywhere near your accounts or there will be storm clouds on the horizon.
Cheers Numpty. I look forward to Heath Hornet's charge up the leagues very soon.
Yes, Mrs Hardy from the Post Office is doing the sandwiches and trifle. She is very grateful to the Abbot for the support he gave her during those dark days and nights when she was detained at New Hall Women's Prison. Apparently it was for some misunderstanding over a computer system mix up. All fixed now though and Mrs Hardy is back home in Scammonden.
My planned 'charge up the league' would have started by now but was demolished when all I lost all my keepers.
I don't yet have a new plan, besides which as things stand it's not really a fair game. There seems little point wasting a lot of money on buying/training a top team whilst the likes of Valentain and Rigas are 'bending' the rules. There may also be a few managers out there who are still abusing the 'extra xp' bug who haven't been caught yet.
At least you've had a plan Numpty!
We don't know exactly what the bug is (or at least I don't).
Some managers have managed to exploit something in the game that allows them to give massive amounts of extra xp to their players. The obvious abusers have been caught by Admin but some have been repeat offenders and others may not yet have been caught.
Unfortunately punishment doesn't fix the problem. It only warns their friends to be a bit more careful.
Congratulations to Alex and Canvey Island on their second ever cup win! A dramatic 16 spot kicks were needed to find the winners.
This means that Seaburn will not be in Europe next season. When was the last time that happened Stephen?
Yeah, hurrah for Canvey Island - get the floats and marching bands booked for a parade (blah, blah, blah).
I'm more excited about them beating LGA today, so I now have the potential to open a 4-point lead on my 2nd place challengers.
I desperately want to avoid the European playoffs as my aging squad might not get the job done.
Canvey Island manager Alex Seymour got angry with the District News reporter when questioned how he felt about crosstown rivals 'The Pixels' doing better and finishing higher in the league.
"Despite our lack of spending and poorer league form, and just like Liverpool did last year with Man Utd, we ended up with more silverware then them".
When asked, 'well next season will you be as crap as United is now then?', Seymour pretended to take a phone call and ran off.
Youth Cup final: defeat
Regular Cup final: defeat
League: 7th place finish (almost certainly at time of writing)
Longest run without a trophy for what must be about 40 seasons and, worse still in the short term is the lack of European competition, as Monk highlights.
But weirdly, despite all this, the squad is actually getting better. Next season I hope to be in a place to avenge some, though admittedly not all, of these defeats and frustrating results. That Cup final was particularly tough to take.
Guys, I avenged you the Euro2020 final: Italy eliminated in the quarterfinals of the cup:
Another heart-stopping match, but England goes to the final to defend the title as European champions!
We are European champions!!! 👊✌
Congratulations Charlie, You are the Best
