Season Sixty :christmas_tree:: expectations, plans (25)
Four seasons have gone by since I started managing this club. It seems like it was only yesterday I was thinking, "Since I have been assigned this club, should I spend time to rename it?" Well time flies....
Onto our expectations for this season: All I want for Christmas is 10points and full home stadiums for the season...I have managed to stay away from the loan market despite seeing a couple of players from our league whom I could afford. So maybe I will try and scratch my player itch by applying to loan one or two players at the end of the transfer window to ensure we get 15 points lol
I fully expect two of our league's teams to get to the group stage of international competition. Talking of international matches, we are glad we're finally at least hosting the St. Kitts and Nevis National Team on December 8, the day after the stadium will probably get upgraded.
hehe thanks for the writeup Viktor! The loan market can be interesting to get some cheap ones for 3 mil and get a continetal ticket. i do this for my second team.
My goals: qualify through the group stage, get YA 5 and the first pulls, try to solve the financial problem since wages are getting very high. If my team has at the end of the season 19.5 stars avaragely, I will be very happy.
I am more than a bit excited to see Bartje back in India managing FC Farīdābād #2 (team-26110). :-)
There was a time I considered leaving my first team in Luxembourg. I felt I stagnated there, but last season was great and in the transfer period I managed to atteact a few top notch players. The ambition is 4th place there.
I couldn't get Amritsar as 2nd team, because the club still has some facilities. I was scrolling trough other teams when I bumped into another former squad that once belonged to a mate of mine (and Eckhart). It was and still one of the weakest sides in the Indian competition, even in the lower league.
A quick view on 'my' league shows that 3 clubs are humanly managed. Nepal Police Club is guided by Rabin, a Nepalese guy. He has one good defender and a 'decent' older striker and that's it. But the manager is active; with stadium 5 and trainin facility 10 in construction. Indian manager Shaw took over Ullal Rockers in June, but doesn't seem active.
I see bot squad FC Kalyan as one of the stronger teams with a solid defense line and some average strikers too.
My hopes on direct promotions aren't that high. I have a decent midfielder with 19-year old Iman Damanis a great talent, but he is injured for about 10 days still. Loaned Isaac Nunn is a great striker talent too, but my keeper(s) are really poor. And with the few funds I couldn't get much reinforcements in that defensive compartment.
Good luck to all of you!
This season I am planning on upgrading my museum to higher levels so that the financial losses I am facing could be cut down to a manageable level and maybe in the next season or two I will be able to upgrade my stadium again.
As such on my squad, I have no intentions to spend money on buying or loaning any players until the upgrades are done.
Welcome Back Bartje_vM .
I will doing what I do for several seasons, Upgrading my facilities and promoting my U 21 players when he reach 22 to main squad and try to be ccompetitive in this season as well.
Hello Dwapar,
Unfortunately I couldn't take Amritsar. Then I would have to abandon my first club Vianden, which I also love ;-). It is nice to see btw, that you're trying to be competitive with such a lot of Indian lads in the A-squad :-)
Yeah ,that is a case also .You will need huge patience to build your team now.
I am try to improve little by little every season and upgrading my facilities .I am not spending money on transfers .
Well, brought in some players to strengthen my team...But,my finances is dry now...
In AL,we have a superior team facing us in Q3...So it might be the last round for us this season...
Unlucky draw Arko :(
I had a equal draw in championsleague and first leg i won with 1-0. Hope i can advance in the return.
Transferseason:
Veil left us for Mohun Bagan at a good price so we had to wave goodbye. My very first 5+ talent from own youth but he had a nice carreer.
Some minor's that left and came in. Nothing upsetting.
Srivastav is really unwanted in the world :D can't get rid of him so we will try again next transfer period.
Well we arrived in the groupstage of the asian competition as planned.
Draw is pretty hard though. Seeded in pot 3, we received strong opponents from pot 1 and 4. Pot 2 was equal.
Expectation is to aim for second spot. Tomorrow first game so lets see if we can advance through group stage.
On the bright side, the team never has been stronger despite the sale of Veil.
Good Luck Eckhart
It looks like the remaining 5 teams have combined to get 5.5 international coefficient points. That is down from the 8 points these teams managed to get in season 62. However the good news is it's higher than the 5 points in season 58
Me and my habit of forgetting to set orders in important matches...
thanks for the early chrismas present Arko ;)
In the Asian league we started with 1/6 against the two strongest teams. If we get a 6/6 against the weakest one, we still have a chance so lets see.
