Season 52 (73)

eng Dragontao >> sábado mayo 9 - 20:09

The new season will soon be upon us. No lockdown in RS World, no crazy ideas like 5 subs, short halves, neutral venues. Still no dodgy VAR decisions (who needs it, we have the match engine to confound us).

Good to see Deca back with us.

Thanks Tao,

It was an opportunity to take over a club that has a much lower average age than my old club, and overall better facilities, I was trying to take over Jason's old team, but it's not avaiable as in the top 50 clubs by coefficient ranking.

My objective first is to stay in the division and avoid relegation, but that won't be easy as so many top class clubs, with top players in this division.

But it's a new challenge which I'm looking forward to

Regards

Deca

A bizarre end to the season sees bot team Reading City sign a GK out of the blue and stave off relegation. CandasXI lost against Collie Club, meaning that we welcome back Jimbob. Hopefully it’ll be a longer stay for you this time around!

Good to have Deca back too. It feels like we’re getting the old gang back together for one last job.

Hi all, and thanks to Stephen for the welcome!

Unfortunately this will be a very tough season for me and my players.

So I will apologise now, for not giving you all much competition and being relegated, probably without winning a single game lol.

Goodbye to Candas and Dean Smith, who seemingly couldn’t handle the pressure. (‘Handle it? That’s my middle name!’ said Chandler from Friends – it may be over 25 years old, Stephen, but the old jokes are the best!). Welcome back, by the way, Deca. Lovely to have you back again. And you too, JimBob.

Exciting news from Yorkshire (God’s county). The Abbot, having financed stadium 11, has sold the club in order to concentrate on his loyal Angolan monks. I reckon he can’t do with all these expensive wages. I was a bit worried whether I’d be out of a job, but my interview with the new owners went really well this morning. Who would have thought that Roy Race, of Roy of the Rovers fame, would buy a top level club in England? When I met him, Roy asked whether I really had Melchester’s interests at heart. I took off my tracksuit top and showed him my Melchester Rovers football top (thank heavens for that ebay purchase, I thought).
“I want someone who’s totally dedicated to Melchester through and through!” said Roy. Well I turned my back on him, dropped my trousers and bent over. I don’t think Roy fully understood the situation until he saw the tattoo I have of him on my left buttock.
“Wow,” he said. “That’s dedication. You’ll do for me!”
Roy is expecting a top half finish this season. No pressure then. Good luck all!

Thanks for the welcome back guys,

I agree with Jimbob, in the fact that it's going to be a very long and tough season for my new team, but it's a great challenge, and regardless of whether i do well or not, will still enjoy it...

good luck all for the coming season

Regards

Chris Kamara (sky sports news) : so Brian, may I call you Brian?

Clough: now look here young man, NO!

Kamara: apologies mr clough, how do you think your team have started.

Clough: I've been showing my lads the Aston Villains matches so they can understand how to play football! When you go up a league you need to remember what got you there, unfortunately it seems there's only one of the  three teams to have done that. So I must take my proverbial het off to Deca.

Sorry guys i tried my best but a 1 goal defeat has ended my latest European adventure in the 3rd qualifying round. However out of my six games i did manage 4 victories so i hope in some small way this will help in the coefficient standings.

I've had a bit of luck this season and the ME has been benevolent. I knew I was due for one of those days. Didn't help that I forgot to set up my advanced tactics.

Nearly had a repeat today too and the draw would have been even worse if not for my late winner, after the amount of shots my team had and my keeper deciding to concede a penalty.

The Canvey Pixels squad has voted to self-quarantine, and also ruled the season null and void. Legal challenges are pointless, as you can't sue babies.

The childish chants of 'going down', 'you're getting sacked in the morning', and my personal favourite: 'you're sh*t, and you know you are', are becoming increasingly more popular with the opposition fans.

Have your fun now, for when my level 11 stadium is complete (early August), I will do as Samuel L. Jackson so eloquently said in Pulp Fiction:

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
