@davo - same thing happened to me where I just got two players within about 12 hours. One at the very end of the window and the other at the very beginning of the next. Looks like yours was right in between.
And almost a year between their ages too - that seems a bit of a coincidence.
is this highest level of topic we have? someone is building YA 6 the ultimate level in China btw.
I can't remember the teams now, but I think I've seen at least 2 Chinese teams upgrading to YA6.

What seems rather odd is upgrading YA5 and then not having any staff.
I dont see any point to upgrade to ya 6. there is no age difference no extra abilities no new options. only difference is talent wise and you can get 0.3 extra talent.
on the other hand you pay 5.3 billion ! for just upgrade. and another 250 million per year for maintenance.
currently you can sell ya 5 players around 250-300 million. extra 0.3 talent you can sell them for 350-400. so 2.5 players per season = 250 million profit which covers only mainteanance.
It is hard enough to justify a YA5.
I have a YA4 and a FA4, I sell out almost every match and even when I win the league and cup double and get to the SF of the ACL, I still am just about breaking even.
Maybe they no longer care about winning, just seeing who can build the most.
