You could either start a new set of records for later seasons or correct seasons from before or after the change (for instance, give Hugo Nguyen credit for (38/30)*48 goals. On the other hand, since it was easier to score in the past, this might create a bias for past seasons (which might be an argument for leaving the numbers unmodified).
