Is a 2000 credit player worth it? (7)
I have 2181 credits and was wondering if it's worth creating a 2000 credit player. I've been playing with the preview button and almost all of them have special attributes, way more than players from the youth academy. I'm wondering if there are too many negative attributes to risk 2000 credits and $150million.
In my opinion, a 2000 credit player or two can be the final player, or two, on a really good team. One 2k players isn't going to change to course of your team, so not worth the gamble
It's totally not worth the money, you can buy a similar or better player with that $150million. Vincent would definitely improve this feature, so save your money and credits for the future.
I recommend training 2-10 star staff members for the scout's office. I spent 2560 credits to create 2 players at the same time. I briefly switched to using 2 scout's office staff members before switching back to 2 youth academy staff members.
I can't say whether there are better options on the market (at but not for too much more than $150m) since I haven't been following it too closely, but I wouldn't be surprised. Make sure that you can reliably get one of these players without having to win a 20 team lottery. Basically, for this consideration, I would recommend evaluating the market before making a decision the next time you can.
The players I got both had 6+ talent, 5/6 fixed features at 5+ (one was at 4.95), 1 unwanted but not horrible special attribute each, and some wasted training on trainable features.
The created players are much better than the bargain players currently on the market, and the range of players that sell for around 150 million is probably pretty small and very competitive. Previewing the features, I think the only bad special I got was modest, and I didn't see any specials that were bad for their assigned position.
That said, unless you are swimming in cash I think the Academy upgrades are more worthwhile, at least until you hit a wall with their costs.
The 2k credit player has become seriously devalued with the new YAs. I posted a recalibration suggestion awhile back on the main forum and then brought it up again recently. There was some decent discussion and by and large people agreed. However, it has been radio silence from Vincent unfortunately.
