Special Attributes - FULL LIST (152)
It applies to the player who has the ability. A keeper would need to have the agile attribute themself to benefit from the speed boost.
Please can someone post how long it takes to train the new special attributes, Poacher and Freestyler. (@ Level 10).
There's a list on page 4 of this thread, but it doesn't include the new ones.
Thanks.
Poacher 5,000 XP, credits: 6 10 days, 2 hours
Freestyler 6,000 XP, credits: 5 9 days, 44 minutes
I have two staff in my training center at:
Special training 72.3% time needed
So that may make a difference to the times displayed in my center I think.
Thanks Alex. Please can you confirm these are the times from Canvey Island as your parent club has FA level 1.
Two level 10 staff should give a reduction in training time to 72.25% (0.85*0.85), so I guess that number is rounded for display purposes.
Without your staff bonus, the base training times at level 10 should be:
Poacher: 13 days 22.95 hours
Freestyler: 12 days 12 hours
As these are introduced at level 10, it's unlikely that they would be fractional values, so perhaps the Poacher training actually takes 14 days. If so, this would give a reduced time of 10 days 2.76 hours, but the minutes are not displayed.
Yep that is from my second team, Canvey.
If my calculations are right, level 16 in training center will provide no decrease in time for the special training compared to level 15.
Anyone capable of confirming it being at that level?
Edit:
For the Correct training and Penalty specialist, not for the others
I'd be interested in seeing your calculations, Kupus.
I may be wrong but what I have calculated is that with each TC improvement the reduction in special training time is a ratio of the 2 training levels. Each special training has effectively a base training time that is simply divided by the current TC level. If necessary the numbers are rounded for display purposes.
Training time at each level
Divide the following times by the TC level:
- Correct 24 days
- Penalty Specialist 32 days
- Sprinter 50 days
- Penalty Stopper 100 days
- Corner Stopper 90 days
- Shielding 100 days
- Dribbler 60 days
- Set Piece Specialist 130 days
- Setting Walls 80 days
- Playmaker 110 days
- Man Marker 60 days
- Sharpshooter 120 days
- Winger 70 days
- Versatile 135 days
- Long Shots 120 days
- Poacher 140 days
- Freestyler 125 days
I haven't kept comprehensive notes at each level, so if any of this is wrong please post corrections.
The times will be further reduced by any staff. (Multiply by 0.85 for level 10 staff.)
@Numpty, note you got the this wrong, the days should be the opposite.
- Corner Stopper 90 days
- Shielding 100 days
Should be:
- Corner Stopper 100 days
- Shielding 90 days
@Numpty
I have also checked your figures and you are correct, that is a method that can be used. You be aware that you will need to use "rounddown" with zero decimals for all base values and also when adding the staff benefits.
@ Kupus
Yeah, I've just checked the two you mentioned. I believe I have them the right way around.
You are correct about the rounding, the numbers are truncated rather than rounded which is a small detail, and I didn't want to make it sound too complicated.
So for example 2.4 days is 2 days 9.6 hours, which gets displayed as 2 days 9 hours.
I use the:
IF([current tc level]<=[needed tc level];ROUNDDOWN(ROUNDDOWN([base days]/[current tc level];0)*[current staff bonus];0);"-")
I'm guessing that's from Excel. Rounddown is a proprietary term used in speadsheets and maybe other software.
The correct mathematical terminology is truncation.

@Numpty
Correct, just sharing my formula in excel.
I can also use the formula Trunc which would do the same thing in this case.
When it comes to long-shots on a midfielder, is the Playmaker passing bonus included in the passing or not?
Also ... Long-shot applies a bonus at scoring, right? Is it applied only to scoring or also to passing/defending?
EDIT Scratch the first question, I finally found a topic discussing that. Bonuses don't count towards long-shot
Still remains the second question though.
My questions:
1. If a player playing as defensive midfielder has 8 ball duelling and 0 ball passing then will the versatile special work on him? i.e. will he have 7.85 ball duelling and 7.7 ball passing during game?
2. Is a player with low centre flank experience and high left/right flank experience less effective as penalty specialist? i.e. does flank experience have any effect on penalties?
3. Does the long shots special work only during normal play or also direct free kicks?
