First season it was a close race with Beawulf, ending in a little bit disappointing second place. The second season, after a bad start, the championship only came close at the and, but Cambuur kept its lead, second again. Fortunately, we won the Cup!
This season, we go for the championship again. No investment this season in new players. We sold the experienced 3.4-star player Sarde to the Turkish Bursateksası, to give some space for our talented youth.
Solberg is loaned out the Belgium RCS Châtelet. At The Keys there is no place at the default line-up this season for him. Hopefully he can return at the future to the best 11.
Overall the selection showed big improvement. We will see if it is enough to finally win the title. So far, we had a fantastic start. Five victories out of five matches. Including home victories on Cambuur (1st, last season), Beawulf (4th) and an away victory on Houten (3td).
Invincible Delft is our next opponent tomorrow. If we can win this extremely tough match, it would be awesome season already.

Yesterday was a sad day. We lost our first (and only) cup match of this season. Orangewood United played defensive and there keeper Redeker saved the day, stopping all 14 changes of The Keys. Kodali scored once, and it was done.
Fortunately, we had a great start at the Champions League. We won easily from Petrolul Fortuna (away) with 5-1. Hopefully we can keep doing a good job at the Champions League. It's a good experience for the players and financially interesting too!

The last three matches were a little disappointing, and had almost identical scenario's: Lost Keys United took the lead, half way the second half, an important player (Namely: Carlsen, Anand, Karpov) got injured, and in the dying seconds the opponent equalised.
Therefore four expensive points where spoiled at the league. Fortunately, the Lost Keys United still has a solid lead at the CL, but the lead could have been bigger.
Hopefully, this little day-off, will not give away our changes to win the league or qualification for the next round of the CL.

The first half of the competition put The Keys on that well known second position. Leiden has a bond with Joop Zoetemelk, but it seems we are pushing this too far.
Anyway, we easy qualified for the knock-out of the Champions League. So far, so good, but if we manage it to the quarter finals (doable), we will face Cambuur or FC United of Manchester. The two biggest rivals to win the CL.
Other bad news is our today lost against Cambuur. The reigning champion defeated us at there brand new stadium, gaining a three point lead. Based on the remaining schedule, Invincible Delft (although four points away) looks to be the easiest on to pass, but again, the championship is further away then we hoped. Hopefully, they will spoil some points more then we do.

Today was a good day. With an easy 7-0 win over Real Astorga, The Keys secured a seed at the semi finals of the CL, together with the other Dutch teams Cambuur and Beawulf. Strood City is best of the rest, and probably the strongest of all.
At the league we had a good result at home against FC Knudde, while one of the two co competitors (Cambuur) lost from Orangewood United. Therefore the lead to Invincible Delft is a solid 2 point lead (and Delft has a mutch tougher remaining schedule), and the gap to Cambuur is now even 5 points.
We're far from safe, but at a good pole position for the League, and with quite reasonable changes of winning the CL, this can become the most successful season of Lost Keys United so far!

Today was the most successful day at the history of Lost Keys United. By winning both the Champions and the Dutch League, the two most important prices where secured.
We will see what the future brings. For now, we will drink some champagne!
