We’re under way again, only without the Juggers.

League between Candas and Seaburn, I'm hoping to hang in top 4 and maybe have a cup run. Good start at the moment.

BTW - check out this cup match

What the...?! 38v37 on pens after more than three hours. Wonder how many fans had a heart attack with the tension?

Hate to be the guy who missed the 76th penalty!

Just made it through to the group stage in Europe, so 4 out of 5 still in - Liverpool out, but they got a horrible draw.

League still going well - only loss to Seaburn Beach when I had to rest a couple with a key European game less than two hours later. Expecting to be overtaken by Nottingham Forest (ex-Juggers), but hoping to hold on to the top 4 through the season. Be interesting to see if Candas strategy of selling youth and buying 30+ players with high stats (but low endurance) and not investing in facilities works out in the mid-long term.

Trying to work out if getting the cash to take YA to level 5 is possible/worthwhile...

We are suffering from fatigue in league matches. Possible reason why didn't win today. Will need to re-think my strategy on who plays certain matches.

Definitely difficult to compete for more than 1 thing when you have endurance issues, especially when Seaburn set such a standard at the top of the league - I'm going to see how my European group looks before deciding what to prioritise. I'd like a cup run as well, but generally that just depends on which round the mighty Beach beat me in!

I was the first Manager who arrived here when we were testing the game for any faults. I was London City. Then i took a 5 year break. If i didn't then it's most likely all my facilities would be maximum.

We Villa fans are everywhere.

Hopefully can get this club up to mid-table, it will be a stuggle with no money for facilities though.

Team looks good, first game today away from home, managed to get a point.

Really need to improve the stadium!!!

Anyone got a spare couple hundred million???

I think the Candas strategy is an interesting one. The team is strong and the players seem good value for money because people are generally desperate to sell and there’s little competition to buy players. EDIT: The one downside I see is that you have to go to a lot of effort at least every ‘summer’ transfer window to revitalise the squad. That’s time I don’t have right now.

I am at a crossroads. Upgrade further and lose the ability to buy players for obscene amounts of money or sit here for a while and build up a big pot o’ cash. If it’s upgrade facilities, should I go for YA like everyone else or try for FA5? It’s massively expensive of course! While I decide, it’s extra museum levels.

Welcome to Aston Villa. Upgrade your stadium and then fan shop as your top priority. Do whatever you can to raise the cash. The previous manager didn’t bother and started to raise the training complex and youth centre levels above 10. Financial chaos ensued! The team is better than the bottom three so good luck with your survival bid.

Looks like antboy is done with the game too. It’s all change!

Is it me or does the rate of attrition seem to be increasing. Or are we noticing it more because it is top flight teams being abandoned.

Not been on here in a while! 1 point from the first 8 games and then 12 from the last 5 games.

Reporter: A lot of people criticised your style of play saying the attacking football you were trying to play would be better suited to the Seaburns of the world but you stuck at it, do you feel vindicated by your recent form?

Clough: Now look here young man, the tide may be in at the minute but it’ll quickly go out! All I know is if this bunch of lads keep working the way they have, stop listening to their agents and forget about this face book & Twitter ... they’ll go far.

Suffered my first defeat yesterday but got back on track today with a come from behind win against the second best Nottingham team, the poor man’s Hoodies.
