Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, people of all ages - welcome to another exciting installment of Rocking Soccer!
The home leg of the European adventure for the Pixels and Newcastle is already in the books (1:1 and 2:3 respectively), with both teams having it all to do on the road tomorrow - I have my first league game an hour later, which might be tight considering the team has to get back from Austria (I think Cardiff will take full advantage).

Oh well, my European adventure is over at the first hurdle but the Rocking Soccer Gods were against me:
- Midfielder sent off
- Defender scored an own goal a minute later
- Opponent's keeper was man of the match
At least I managed to score once over the two legs......that's more than the Islanders managed in their first attempt!
Commiserations to Newcastle, who also have a sad journey home.
That was a bad cup draw. So many easy sides in that round and you go and play a team with black star players.
Now Canvey Kebab House has box loads of 'Double Euro - Double Fries' promo flyers that are completely useless.
Sorry your adventure was so short lived, Lee. The draw can be tough when you're unseeded. To achieve seeding, you need to win matches and progress, but this feels like catch-22 when you're starting out. Keep building your team up and you'll start to make inroads eventually
Sorry but with my victory in the European Cup last season, France went 3rd ahead of England which deprives it of one more Club in the Champions League
And for this season, danger for England with Germany passing in front followed very closely by Belgium and Bulgaria You will have to win games to score points

After my 'hot' start to the new season and winning 2 games back-to-back I'm now back to losing my games and conceding the most in the league.
For the moment, the European matches are not good :
- 2 clubs eliminated in the 1st round of the European Cup (Canvey Pixels and Newcastle United)
- Cardiff City FC who lose their first leg in the Champions League and have not been connected for 7 days
My arse still hurts from the spanking Stephen gave me yesterday.....he has very rough hands.

Yeah - my entire defence decided to have a collective nightmare. 19 shots and 1 goal for me, 23 shots and 5 goals for Seaburn. I always seem to go into matches against Seaburn with a major defender injured. Don't think Stephen even set a team as they played 3-5-2.
Apart from that, it's been a pretty good start to the season.
I had my own arse handed to me in the CL. 1-0 down, an injury to my left back and then four more went past my GK. The fairly lame opposition GK had a worldie and it's looking like another race for second place in the group.
26 goals scored, and 26 conceded......my leaky defence might be a problem this season.
Got away with one tonight. A tough match away against @blackwhite where he had set a formation and I was a victim of the blackout. My assistant went with a bold 4-4-2 diamond and came out with the three points.
My accountants have been crunching the numbers and they reckon that Seaburn Beach will be in receivership by end of May unless they win the National Lottery or the Champions League in the meantime.
Rumours that Stephen pulled the plug on the Rocking Soccer servers today, to give him more time, have not yet been confirmed or denied.
